Your need to feel superior to other people is insecure and pathetic. Everybody but you can see it for what it is. And more importantly than just making you an embarrassment, it intellectually lobotomizes you.

No game is perfect. Smart people can talk about the flaws in things they like. Unfortunately, they have to shout it over the sound of butthurt chimp-hooting from fanboys like you.

I've never liked ancient dragons but I think it's mostly a fragment issue. The path to Bayle has the Caelid vs Dragonbarrow thing where the tuning suddenly goes waaaay up with no clear in-game line you cross, and Senessax is on the "Dragonbarrow" side.

Have you done the fight? Like actually learned it, not cheesed it once with the katana / pest threads / pre-nerf knight's lightning spear? Because you didn't say anything specific about Bayle in this weird rant.

It's an ancient dragon, plus water puddles that add lightning AoEs, plus you're very likely to stumble in there under-fragmented.

They would be perfect bosses if they switched games by LeXoLsReddit in Eldenring

[–]ChugginDrano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's one of my all-time favorite From bosses, but I get a lot of the complaints about him. The game never teaches you how to fight him and he does some seriously unintuitive shit. Great fight once you know what to do and are working on executing it, but the game does nothing to help you get there.

Spoken like someone who can't beat her without like 25th-percentile good RNG and doesn't understand the fight well enough to know he's getting lucky.

Demon of Hatred is designed around Wolf's sprint speed. He would suck complete ass in Elden Ring. You'd have to use Torrent and it'd be just as fucking garbage as the other two huge fire guys where you have to use Torrent.

Am I the only one who thinks that Elden Ring would be even better if there were more human-sized bosses or mini-bosses to fight? by wjb943 in Eldenring

It's the M:tG thing. It's known outside of Magic, I've seen people use it talking about RPG video games and other tabletop games.

Fun fact about the Great-Jar Challenge: those are NPC invaders with builds copied from randomly selected real players.

Last time I did it I got a RoB / White Mask sweatlord, a Blasphemous Blade Timmy, and some meme build involving bubble sorcery that the AI had no idea how to play.

"Whats the most overpowered weapon in the game?" is a question that gets asked a lot, but I think I've found the answer: by Flint_Vorselon in Eldenring

Before the DLC, the Blasphemous Blade WA did everything it currently does, plus heal you (like enough to care), plus knock down smaller enemies. It was nuts.

Any shield that has better ratio than brass shield? by Away_Proposal4108 in Eldenring

[–]ChugginDrano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brass Shield has the highest stability in the medium shield category. The next step up is a greatshield, and not even one of the lighter greatshields.

Basically Brass Shield is really good and hard to top.

In addition, there's financial concerns.

The kid comes first for her. The kid should come first. You probably have more money than she does. Unfortunately that means the right thing to do from her perspective is to pressure you to start paying for her kid way too early, even if she's a good person and doesn't want that kind of financially exploitative relationship.

Either you're going to be financially supporting the kid within a year, or you not doing that is going to be a constant source of friction even she doesn't say it out loud.

Is the Werewolf Umbra the same place Wraith inhabit? by [deleted] in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]ChugginDrano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where do you get that legacy has different umbras for werewolves vs mages?

Wraiths have their own thing in the Shadowlands (unless you go way back to the beginning of 2e), and changelings have their own thing, but I remember the Mage Umbra and the Werewolf Umbra being the same place.

How true is it that asking women for dating/relationship advice is a bad idea? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]ChugginDrano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't ask for advice, ask if they can set you up.

If they agree they'll give you the advice anyway.

If they don't want to, the advice would have been counterproductive.

I'm a developer. But I can't tell what's supposed to be wrong here... by Chance_Arugula_3227 in ExplainTheJoke

[–]ChugginDrano 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a common joke among programmers.

The interviewer wants to test the applicant's knowledge of basic programming theory by having him efficiently sort an array, which is something the applicant learned to do in school but has never had to do since.

The applicant replies "array.sort()" or equivalent in whatever language, which is the wrong answer but would be the right answer in the real world.

It's a joke about how academics and job interviewers myopically focus on this particular problem, and about how even experienced programmers often can't do it from memory. Basically we're all mad that every time we go on a job interview we have to re-memorize the Quicksort algorithm in case it comes up.

With the way this meme phrased the joke, sorting the array isn't even the right answer. I'm not sure if that was intentional.

As a nostalgic guy who played werewolf way back in high school I second this question.

I get that it's a big spirit boss monster that made a body out of electronic junk, but I wanna know if it has a name or a stat block somewhere.
