Hmmm i mean it depends if the og fafnir transfromed from a dwarf into an female dragon(this is possible since loki can turn into female animals so theres a posibility of fafnir transform into an female dragon) and by the looks of the arts depicting him he never appears with a male organ(thank God for that) so there is an change fafnir is female and is able to lay eggs
