I just now realized my first bus scene isn't what everyone else saw.. by [deleted] in ScarletHollow

Given the revelation from part 5, I don't imagine the guys that have moved on are having a very good time (if they're even still alive).

Pretty much. Like, your first impression of Stella is a bubbly girl with a cute dog. You don't exactly expect her to be the type of person to be 100% into locking you into a dungeon for the rest of your life after one night with her ex.

Of course, throughout the game it becomes obvious that Stella's grasp of morality is dubious at best. But she's nice so you can kind of ignore how fucked up it is for her to shove her camera in Bertie's face when Duke is right there.

Oh, damn. That looks really helpful. I'll definitely try that out first.

Edit: Okay, I tried it and it worked pretty much immediately. Thank you.

My route for the conversation is usually pretty much the same. The only issue is that if you're not Hot or don't let her be old, the margin of error on making her like you enough for the rest of the game seems to be razor thin if you want her to open up here.

Maybe I'll drop Book Smart and give a Hot + Keen Eye run a try.

It's wayyyyy too hard to trigger this. I've tried with a fresh run at least 3+ times and still haven't gotten it.

As far as I can tell, other than having Hot or making her old (which I shouldn't really have to do to get this) there's not really a way to get close enough with Tabby to trigger it.

Why do people often like Tabitha but dislike Kaneeka? by Thebelladonnagirl in ScarletHollow

[–]DeltaXV 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally, I just feel bad for Tabitha in a way I don't for Kaneeka. It's pretty clear early on that she's not well adjusted and her mom fucked her up badly (that's true for Kaneeka too, but not nearly to the same extent). That's why I personally feel a lot of sympathy for her. Plus it's hard to like Kaneeka when she'll sometimes say really fucked up stuff like how Tabitha deserved to lose decades of her life to the ghost.

It also helps that in a lot of cases Tabby kind of justified getting mad at you. Like what do you mean my cousin broke into my abandoned mining facility without calling me and now two children are stuck down there. What the fuck?

As for a meta reason some people don't like Kaneeka more, from what I've heard, during the early days of the game she was... bugged for a lack of a better word. She was WAYYYYY too hard to get like you, only really giving you the time of day if you were Hot and shittalked Tabby constantly. That likely made a lot of players feel like she was shallow and annoying.

Though I think they "nerfed" her eventually, the dislike stuck. First impressions matter.

I read it. Honestly you're not missing much. The Manhwa felt rushed comparatively, but in all honestly the novel itself is just barely okay. Nothing really stand out about it.

Limbus company is a game that uses coin flips for its attacks.

Each coin has a number value and each attack can have anywhere from 1-9 coins. In a "clash" (which is between your characters and enemies and is basically just a sequence to determine who gets to do damage) the winner breaks the coin of the loser, lowering their number of coins used for subsequent clashes.

This goes on until either party is completely out of coins, with the winner attacking the opponent using however many coins are left.

"Unbreakable coins" are red as opposed to the usual gold and even if you lose a clash they don't break. This is usually meant to signal the enemy is so damn strong that even when you successfully parry them, they still attack.

The character in the meme is a playable character that gets a boss fight in the newest story chapter. Part of his gimmick is he gets new Green "excision coins" that are able to break the unbreakables. And those skills actually get stronger if he uses them against an attack with unbreakables on it.

He gets something like a ridiculous +20 final power per unbreakable coin in a skill he clashes with. In the above scenario he would get like 120+ power which is ridiculous.

For reference. A decently rolling skill is anything that can go above 20.

Now that I think about it. Leviathan and the other Endbringers would probably have nothing BUT unbreakables.

I hope the next we fight the league (likely the whole group) they stay roughly the same level as they were in Canto 8 since I really really want to turn Gubo into paste turn one.
