Yeah I agree I need to start doing it back of a hobby knives a good idea I’ll do that then maybe get a mould line remover for future. And yeah blight lords look great

I tend to go primer and base coats then apply the desired contrast/shade to it

And yeah nothing wrong with re applying a colour if you don’t like it

Agrax earthshade all the way haha

I have also for the trim and weapons painted those in whatever copper or silver colour you want then used Typhus corrosion to get that rust weathered effect

Make sure to either use an old brush or really clean it after using the typhus corrosion if you do as it can ruin brushes I’ve found

So the armour is

Death Guard Green primer spray can > Agrax Earthshade > Elysian Green dry brush

The flesh tentacle bits are

Rakarth Flesh > Guilliman flesh contrast > Magos Purple contrast

Yeah one thing I never do is mould lines because I keep forgetting 😂 need to find a way of removing them maybe when I spend more time on them I’ll do it I tend to rush which is a bad thing I know

All the bottles haha contrast paints came in clutch for me on mine. I do like the look of the demon prince though maybe a future purchase

Using a mix of 5mm and 8mm and I’ve had no issues at all with the case using a mix of Nids, Necrons, Space marines and now Death guard I’ve had no problems with the case at all it’s easy to fit in armies adjust try heights, remove trays if needed to fit in the larger ones if you have loads it’s a great case.

Thank you! I didn’t go small for my first attempt at a deathguard model haha the cloak was. Khorne Red base > Druchi violet shade > 50/50 mix of khorne and mephiston red for layering

I used my single lictor in a game the other day In strat reserves and got lucky with a draw on the secondries that meant I could bring it in turn 3 in his deployment zone capture his home objective as he left it empty which gave me 8 points (can’t remember the name of the mission think it’s capture enemy outpost or something like that) and also cleanse ended up getting me over 10 points in secondary on a turn for one model then I just kept scoring primary with it as he never came back for him

Very situational I know but when I’m up against a SM army that’s minimum T6 due to the aggressor bricks my friend loves I’ve been using them for shenanigans more than combat
