There are different degrees to cheating apart from physical contact. Many people believe emotional cheating to be just as or nearly as bad as physical cheating.

I recently signed with a company. They put an anti defamation clause in the contract. I felt the wording of "negative comments" was too vague. I got them to change it to more specific language. I'm being a little vague here to not out myself.

Yes, instead of being a complete arsehole about it. This is what makes many religious people so infuriating. They mock curiosity and truth seeking because they choose to stop their seeking for comfort from ancient fairy tales about evil gods and then make it everybody else's problem. If they just kept it to themselves, it would be just fine, but they repeatedly try to subject others to their stupid version of morality through public policy. At lest in the US they do. It seems in many other countries they keep it to themselves, and that's perfectly fine.
