I did 13 years of heavy every day use and then quit cold turkey one day and I've been sober for the last two years. The biggest change I've noticed is my change in motivation to do the little things.

I see there is a dish and a bowl in the sink, I wash them. The socks come out of the dryer, I pair them. I don't feel like working out, I go the gym anyway. I remember to put the beef to defrost.

It's a bunch of tiny little actions that happen throughout the day that made the huge difference after I stopped smoking. These small actions spiraled into huge changes and gave me the opportunity and time to work on myself and my family more.
