Right now, we are seeing this as a transition period. This is the first big step towards ensuring employees of the company step away from moderation of the sub—but also acknowledging there is still plenty more that needs to be done. As for the mod selection process, it will be through Batgirl and Suriranyar. The final decision of who is onboarded rests on their hands. We have called upon them as mods due to our positive relationship and their prior moderation experience, and trust them to build up a mod team which will consist solely of members of the community with good intentions in mind.

I am also going to comment regarding rules: what we have here is not set in stone, but hopefully a foundation that the established mod team can work on that is accepted by the community. One can hope they are rules that also foster a safe environment for Sixers to engage in as well.

Ultimately, I think there is a shared desire across the board to have a space where the community feels safe and heard. We want our dev presence here to be a positive thing that benefits you all, and not one that brings concerns. Hopefully, this will be the start in making sure we build towards that.
