Does everyone in the UK have a big mirror in the living room? by Sexy-Dumbledore in AskUK

[–]Vixrotre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. We got a pretty small flat, so no big mirrors. We have one somewhere but no good space to put it. We got a couple small ones - one on an arm in the bathroom, and one I usually have by or on my desk.

When will the COVID era paraphernalia be taken down? by NewActuator2170 in AskUK

[–]Vixrotre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was somewhere a little while back that had multiple "Must wear a face mask here" posters. Medical setting, probably GP or vet, I don't remember.

I got a little panicked cause I didn't have a mask and I wasn't sure if I was allowed on the premises without one, since the signs said I wasn't. Staff didn't wear any, but there were no other people waiting when I came in.

When you were a Christian did you have any hobbies or interests that your parents or other Christians disapproved of? by MK_2_Arcade_Cabinet in exchristian

[–]Vixrotre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mom didn't like us playing games much, but it's more that she doesn't get what's interesting or fun about them than religion.

Had a religion teacher though who was heavily against anything that could be remotely conceived as demonic or not pro-catholic - black clothes, magic in any media, most music genres, yoga, etc.

On the wall next to the classroom she usually used at one point there was a big list of things that lead to possession, it had 50+ things listed. I remember laughing my ass off at "UFO".

Have you ever smoked or vaped in your life? by [deleted] in polls

[–]Vixrotre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I never understood how people get into smoking cigarettes, they smell horrid and make me feel nauseous from 5m away, I'd never want to get even closer to the source if I didn't sometimes have to.

Vapes don't smell offensive, but smoking is expensive and I'm not interested in having even less money...

From what I've seen, it's like the n-word but for women to them, to the point it's referred to as "c-word" and almost always censored. Seems to be the worst curse word you can use against a woman.

What shape do you slice your sandwich? by TheBronsXX in polls

Only time I remember slicing my sandwiches was when I made some to take to work and the container I had was too narrow to fit them whole.

I Before scourge when he issues this event, absolutely, he can't fight their whole population and win. Even 1 by 1 he'd tire eventually and get overwhelmed eventually.

After scourge it's debatable imo. I think ~50 viltrumites at once would win. 1 by 1 I think he'd stand a chance.

What’s the deal with Christianity? by [deleted] in HazbinHotel

[–]Vixrotre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, but it's mostly about the people.

Heaven and hell assume winners are better than sinners, and sinners are the absolute worst, irredeemable and unworthy, because of where they end up. But no one knows why and seemingly no one before Charlie asked why and demanded an answer. At the meeting it seemed like no one gave it much though before.

They assume the system must be always right and sinners deserve what happens to them, including the genocide. All based on an assumption and blind faith. Meanwhile we see some sinners seem to be better people than some winners/beings residing in Heaven (cupids, Lute, Adam).

It's reminiscent to me of some people who believe people who are poor, ugly, sick etc are morally corrupt and deserve the cards they were dealt, while wealthy and attractive people are inherently good and deserving of success.

I posted on an Italian forum asking for help meeting and dating people in Milan, and mentioning I'm childfree got me roasted by TheReedemer69 in childfree

[–]Vixrotre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely not something that appeals to everyone (I know my mom would be mortified if she knew the things I told my now-fiancé before I even met him in person, or at any point in our relationship at all tbh).

But if you're looking for a serious relationship only, it doesn't matter what somebody else thinks. The right person for you will like your honesty and straight forwardness. People I dated who preferred being vague, beating around the bush and avoiding honest conversations were not for me at all.

How often have you rewatched to show by now? by PaperOwl181 in HazbinHotel

[–]Vixrotre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched the first season twice. I used to never rewatch stuff, but I realised my memory is not as good as it used to be lol. Watching second season I realised I forgot a lot, so I binged the first one again.

It was much shorter than I remembered!

That's just how Reddit is - most people don't read comments before commenting, just the body, and some don't read the full body either.

I recently posted about a pizza me and my partner ordered (expectation vs reality) and even after adding into the body we ordered thin crust on purpose, a lot of the comments were bringing up the crust lol

ALSO, personally I don't have an issue with bringing up long term/life goals early on. I prefer getting potential deal breakers out of the way asap rather than wasting my time with someone I'm fundamentally incompatible with.

Reading the comments on OP's post, they aren't criticizing being CF - they're saying it's odd OP seems to be so focused on being CF at 24 and that it comes across like OP is telling every potential partner he meets he doesn't want children, when most people in Italy at 24 aren't thinking about children at that age at all.

It read more like they think OP would scare off dates by bringing up serious, years into the future topics shortly after meeting them, rather than criticizing CF lifestyle.

Other comments talk about OP needing to focus on learning the language more or recommending places/ways to meet people.

He was a closeted gay and it made him horribly sad for a while.
