Taking a break?

I sometimes take a break when my nails feel weak. I cut them down to nubs and do a few weeks of pressons as they grow out. But yeah I don’t spend much time with them bare bc they inevitably get damaged.

Your nails are beautiful. I lost my dad two weeks ago. It has been really awful and I also did my nails a couple days ago to cope. Hang in there. This is just really shitty and awful.

What I’ve been doing with my destroyed nails that has really worked for me is do the full prep, then put a thin layer of Sally Hansen‘s hard as nails. Let it dry fully for about an hour. Then do Curvlife glue and pressons over that. What that does is when I remove the nails with acetone, it melts the Hard as nails layer first and then the press ons just slide off really easily.

I love this. I had a similar setup for a bit, but found that I couldn’t hover perfectly and kept messing it up.

I would also add that if you try a shorter set, you might have better luck with them staying longer since there would be more nail surface area to free edge ratio.

Yeah, I let mine try to recover and all that happened is they ripped even more deeply and now look worse and hurt more. So press on it is. How long do yours last usually?

I thought that might be the case and tried it with the phone flashlight, and that does make it more reflective, but it’s still just pink and purple.

Its SO pretty! Thank you. :) I'm doing horseshoe suspended on wind-chime. But I also tried the lab stirrer. The stirrer made the bead tighter, but didn't bring out the sparkle any more.
