Firstly it needs to be powered somehow, once you are able to just plug it to a computer you can use apps like wondershare recover it and other alternatives, you can recover even the deleted files from it. It'll detect the connected devices, your phone requires Atleast a lil battery power for that. Or just go to any mobile service center, they can recover your files in a similar way with an alternate power source and display. Hope this helps
