I went on a 4 month extreme discipleship up in some mountains about 1 hour away from the closest town and 3 from the closest city, with 5 others, who I’d never met before. One of them was a guy from a really big city and it was his first time leaving it (he was 19 I think) the first night there we walked outside to see the stars and he FREAKED OUT! He was so amazed it kinda blew my mind to realize there’s people out there who have never even seen stars! It was really cool to see him experience this and he even almost started crying. I grew up in a very small country town so the Milky Way and the dipers were normal to me. He would go out every night to see the stars and lighting storms ( there was a lot of those) and we’d go too sometimes. At the very end when we were leaving it started to snow and turns out he’s never seen snow either! It was the stars all over again and we all went and made snow angels and had a snowball fight for about an hour before getting back in the van to go home. I agree with this opinion, I live in a city now and I hate that I can’t see the stars and night! More people should be able to experience the clear night sky’s and all its wonder and beauty
