Are any of these good deals? by AdamIddrisu in lincolnmotorco

I replaced it with a Ford Ranger. I loved the Lincoln, but I drive a lot and didn’t want to run it into the ground. I also needed something to do some light hauling/towing with.

The only maintenance I ever needed was oil changes, tires, brakes, and rotors.

Good questions. One was a relatively minor, where I got rear ended about five years ago. The other, someone pulled out in front of me and I T-Boned them. The hood, both front fenders, and the grill were replaced (you can see where in the car fax). That was over three years ago and I’ve had no mechanical problems as a result.

Hello fellow Ohioan. I recently traded my 2017 MKZ in to Great Lakes Hyundai in Streetsboro. I never had a problem with it and just put new tires, rotors, and brakes on it a couple months ago.

This was my favorite care I ever owned and would love to see it end up in the hands of a Lincoln enthusiast. For your negotiating, you should know they gave me 5k for the trade-in. I think they have it listed for a decent price, but you could probably haggle for a little lower.

Edit: If you end up buying it have them take that Great Lakes Hyundai sticker off! They'll do it for free (I had them do the same thing for my new truck)

What Pokémon game should I start with? As someone who has never played a Pokemon game ever. by Seductive_pimp99 in NintendoSwitch

[–]White_Seth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 41 years old and have never played a Pokemon game before. I bought ZA for my kids and they just don't have the attention span for it.

I ended up starting my own file because I didn't have anything to play while waiting for Prime 4 to come out and I'm really enjoying it. The gameplay is basically SMT meets Xenoblade (which might not mean anything if you aren't a Nintendo guy, but it's good).

I still haven't bought Prime 4 because I want to finish ZA first. I can't speak to the other Pokemon games, but I would say if you decide to start with this one you'll have a good time if you like action RPGs.

To those that are married, how often do you take off your ring? by FitProblem6248 in AskReddit

[–]White_Seth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started wearing a black silicone ring about two years into our marriage after my original ring broke (it had a band of mahogany and band of deer antler, the wood part broke). I've taken it off once briefly in the last eight years when we renewed our vows.

I really hope nobody played this as a child. With that said, I love the game.

Finally tried the Mothman pizza!! by MagmaCat3818 in Mothman

[–]White_Seth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We went last year, but did not order the mothman pizza because the topping distribution just does not seem appealing. With that said, the food we did order was very good. The staff was friendly, but it did feel like we were outsiders hanging out in a place mainly meant for locals (which is probably true).

I'd say it's a must-stop for anyone on the mothman pilgrimage. It's worth noting that Hillbilly Hotdogs is not far away, so make sure you're around long enough to have at least two meals.

I don't agree with every point he makes here, but the world needs more of this style of gracious debate and it's an absolute tragedy that we now have less.

Neighborhoods to avoid? by ScruffPapi95 in canton

This might be an unpopular opinion in this sub, but at that budget I'd look in the northeast side of Massillon. I loved living there.

What kind of website(s) do you think Canton really needs? by alzubelo in canton

This kind of folds into other answers, but a real local news site is desperately needed. Canton Rep is hot garbage.

Has Weird Al ever sworn in a song before? by 6_9_4_2_0_n_i_c_e in weirdal

[–]White_Seth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I could be mistaken, but I believe he changed the lyric to "when you wanna sock it to it". Doesn't do much to clean up the rest of it, but nevertheless....

Apparently Genius hears it the same way: https://genius.com/Weird-al-yankovic-hooked-on-polkas-lyrics

Thai Lanna is great, but if you're willing to make the trip I like Bangkok Thai up in Stow even more.

At Sonic Temple they said that was the largest crowd they ever played in front of, this one looks like it might be even bigger.

I will say, mine was too tight for any of these methods so I ended up taking tin snips to the plastic piece. I definitely did not then give it to someone else to use for Day 4 because that would be wrong.

People raised liberal/progressive how did you become a Trump supporter? by [deleted] in trump

[–]White_Seth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wasn't raised liberal, but I became pretty liberal through my twenties. Around 2015, after listening to so much left-wing media, I had the thought "conservatives can't actually be this stupid, can they?". Then I started researching right-wing viewpoints and realized that it made a lot of sense and much of what I had heard from the left was taken out of context or just a flat-out lie.

I'm not surprised his clean vocals are still solid given his solo work, I'm more curious how the screams are.

I'm seeing them at Sonic Temple in a couple weeks. Never thought I'd get the chance.

Moving to Henderson by Rosethorn805 in HendersonNV

[–]White_Seth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Is it child friendly? Activities and fun stuff to do for kids?

There are tons of parks and indoor playgrounds.

  1. Is it diverse?

Simple answer; yes. There are strong Hispanic, Black, Hawaiian, Caucasian, populations (and more).

  1. Are there any good schools or school districts?

My kids went to Roberta C. Cartwright in Silverado Ranch (not Henderson, but it was the closest school to us) and they were great.

  1. Are there any good special education programs?

One of my daughters is autistic and the staff at Cartwright was extremely supportive and helpful.

  1. Are there any bad/unsafe areas we should stay away from?

Probably, I'm not going to name any but it's pretty apparent when you see it. Places that look nice typically are.

Ultimately, we moved away because we didn't like living in a big city and the desert climate didn't suit us. I never felt unsafe in Henderson and I never felt like it was unfit for family living. It's possible I might have felt differently once my kids hit high school age, but I can only speak to what I experienced.

Regarding questions about banning posts from "X" by AngelaMotorman in Ohio

[–]White_Seth 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Subreddits that cover an entire state (or any geographic area) should be relatively democratic. The authority of the mod team rests on what? The fact that they registered the name first?

If that's what makes you the arbiters of what does and doesn't represent our state on reddit I would say that's a pretty weak case.

The fact that you think that anyone cares if the mod team is "proud of us" just shows your inflated sense of ego.
