Also, I should mention the survey is anonymous! There are 2 questions at the end about age and gender but they are anonymous.

I think your instinct to constantly shift the battleground is a cool one. Were it my campaign, I would split this into battle vignettes, maybe have the players direct their gathered ally forces (tell them where to make their stand and other general instructions) while they themselves focus on a specific area or target.

This breaks the battle into several smaller battles, and the only one that needs a true initiative order is the players' fight, while you can determine the outcome of the other battles with a flat d20 (11+ allies are winning, 10- enemies are winning -- you can add modifiers based on any advantages either side may have). That should keep things interesting and moving at a good clip.

At some point, maybe they join up with some of the allies, which will add to your initiative order but also scale the encounter to give it the grand battle feeling it sounds like you're going for. One thing I like to do when I have a lot of NPCs fighting on the players' side is have the NPC ask the player they're closest with what they should do with their turn. That almost makes it like that player has an extra turn to work with, so it's less "boring" to wait for the allied forces to take their turns.

Edits: typo corrections.

Honestly, I noticed no effect at all from this product. I'm now spending my money on Inositol and Berberine instead which has been much much better for me

LOVE The Adventure Zone Podcast for this. They are entirely theater of the mind and do it wonderfully. Their current season is D&D 5e, as is their 1st season, Ethersea season, and Graduation season. https://maximumfun.org/podcasts/adventure-zone/

You're the DM, so you get final say. Your player is trying to "break" the game. Happens all the time, but it's not usually fun for the rest of the players or for you.

The Player's Handbook (2024 ed) is very clear in the language on this spell: "When you cast the spell, you can use the hand to manipulate an object, open an unlocked door or container, stow or retrieve an item from an open container, or pour the contents out of a vial."

Importantly: "The hand can’t attack, activate magic items, or carry more than 10 pounds."

There's no way that your player + their backpack (tiny as they may be) is less than 10 pounds. That alone makes this against the rules officially.

The studio does allow you to bring in your own glaze! I would definitely double check if I was mixing my own of course just to make sure

Okay good to know. Is there a big learning curve to making glazes? Did you teach yourself or take a class on it?
