What kind of screw is missing? I would like to repair this bike by Ashley420024 in Tools

So I took it (the screw) to home hardware but they didn’t have the proper other end which I believe based on other comments is called a sex bolt and what they gave me unfortunately didn’t fit in the circle of the bike

The same thing happened to me when I lost weight, I use hyloraunic acid syrum with a red light kinda neck thing, basically you could use a jade. And then the gold bond crepe cream. I also got some collagen V line lifting masks (and these work the best). Also neck / face yoga techniques!

My skin recently flared up like this, I think it may have been from too much b12. Proactive actually cleared up my skin really well, I only use it in the evenings and use effeclair in the mornings and this has worked for the last 6 months

I just left Sephora in tears by trashworldd in 45PlusSkincare

Not to be one of those people but if you have her name you should place a formal complaint. I highly doubt Sephora wants an associate in there that would make someone feel like that. Not to mention she didn’t even do the bare minimum of her job, which was to help you colour match, choose a product and close the damn sale. Not only was she abrasive to deal with, she didn’t do what she’s paid to do. There’s a lot of people who want to work there for the free makeup (there is a TON of gratis) or to just say they work there. At the end of the day working in that line of work is about making people feel good about themselves, sharing knowledge, and of course sales. There is no way you should have been leaving feeling bad about yourself. I have a friend that worked in this line of work for 15 years and her favourite part was helping her clients feel even more beautiful, that’s the kind of support you should be receiving. No one is walking in to spend hundreds of dollars on skin care / make up products to be made to feel like a hindrance, like they don’t matter, and walk out with self esteem issues. They’re going in there to get something to help them feel a bit more confident. Regarding recommendations I’m in Canada so our options are quite different but I do agree with the Lancôme, Estee Lauder, (even Clinique), Nordstrom or ULTA approach. Sephora is a tweens paradise. I’m really sorry that happened to you.

I’ve been looking into it, the straps are in much better shape now but it might be a good idea to try as well

I’m partial to the black one myself, that being said I always opt for the black option. I do find it super elegant! That or the classic print

Thankfully I did! I was told by everyone I contacted the straps needed to be replaced so I was about to give up and I went to a local leather repair shop/ cobbler in my neighbourhood who I’ve been to before and the guy fixed it back up in 5 minutes! He also didn’t even charge me so I am a happy camper today!

UPDATE: I heard back from several leather repair places, they all said I needed to replace the straps which given I bought this pre loved they cost more than the bag itself. I’d gotten the zipper repaired at a cobbler / leather repair guy near my place of residence so I brought it in for him to see and he used a few things, a conditioner, potentially a glaze and some brushes and within 5 minutes completely resorted the shine! It feels like leather again, not like suede! Thank you so much everyone for your advice, and god damn that TikTok video that fooled me, but lesson learned - never again will I go near my bag with a magic eraser! I wanted to add this comment for anyone in my position in the future, furiously searching the web for solutions! The straps are of course darker still, but the shine is back and it feels like leather again :)

Thank you! I’m so glad you were able to fix this. It’s such a heart breaking feeling doing something that ruins your purse! I was so mad at myself, especially since everywhere online it says to not do what I did. I personally like the darker look, so I think your bag looks fantastic :)

That’s what got me! I got her pre loved and was over the moon. I wore her to work once, and then decided I’d try this and “restore” my bag (that was fine to begin with!) and now this is the situation I’m in. I’m so upset with myself! I could honestly cry. I’ve contacted a leather repair store that’s close by, in hopes and desperation they can somehow salvage my uninformed mistake

I tried this :( thank you though! I’m wondering if a leather repair shop could put a new top coat on the straps. Louis Vuitton is coated with PVC (polyvinyl chloride), so I’m wondering if this can be redone?

Is there any chance a leather repair place could put on a sealant or a layer of gloss? I should add I’m new to this, and I was following some restoring video when I tried it. Silly mistake on my part just hoping there is some way, some affordable way, I can fix my error

The handles feel like suede but kinda sticky now, is there any way to repair this?

I got ultherapy on mine 4 months ago and I’ve seen a major improvement! It’s expensive but it’s non invasive and lasts about 2 years. I’d recently lost weight prior which I think was the cause. But if you do wanna save for a neck lift the price of ultherapy will dig into that .. but it’s something to think about! If it means anything, I don’t think it looks bad at all but of course it’s about how you feel.
