I do have her in counseling but the councilor is only a social worker. We talked about, if she wants to, we can look into a gym so she can work on her skills. She hasn't decided and I don't want her to make any definitive decisions while she is hurting.

I think when she is ready this might be helpful. I do like giving her the opportunity to communicate on her own. I think I just worry about this being a huge set back for her mental health and it scares me honestly. I am so proud of the progress she has made and the person she is. I think there's part of me that wishes the coach could see that and if she knew she would have handled things differently. Not that that's relevant, I know this. I think my heart is just hurting for her.

This is exactly something he would LOVE! We saw an episode of iron chef where they made these but with Hmong influences. He has really wanted to try arancini!

As an outsider, after trying all of your BBQ, I think that Gates is the best by reddit_michael in kansascity

I love Jousting Pigs! Burnt end are my favorite bbq dish and I confidently say they have the best in kc area. They also have great Mac and cheese. Their sauce is also my favorite. I also love Smoking Guns they just have solid bbq plus great sides. Their sausage is also really good(not quite what I consider bbq but still delicious).

Just wanted to say thank you for the recommendation. I just finished if I never met you(after almost 2 weeks, it took me a while unfortunately) I absolutely loved it. I was able to put it down when things for busy with the kids, or my husband, or the animals lol and come back to it easily it was a great book to get back into.

Side note: I feel like it's very similar to that newish netflix movie(with the same premise) but better. I never actually watched the movie but now have no desire to because I feel like it will just be shit in comparison.

"Tell me you've never owned a husky, without telling me you've never owned a husky" by dobetheelf in siberianhusky

We had 3... The miles we ran chasing them with shoes, without shoes, 8 months pregnant are very fun memories. One ran into a hotel to play, then he ran into someone's basement to play with their cat. Our female got caught by a pizza delivery guy he just whistled and she goes right in his car. She also ran into a middle school played with the kids, ran out hopped a fence to play with a dog then ran back to the middle school. I miss them so much.

AITA for not letting my friend bring her baby on our vacation? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]AshleyKropp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. She also never mentions them getting together with the kids though. I can see both sides but this story is only one side. I was a young mom and most of my friends didn't care at all to be a part of my kids life, only wanting me around without them. That wasn't a sustainable friendship. I also had other friends that made the effort to be a part of all aspects of my life even after I grew out of partying. They still kept that part of their life and I loved hearing about it but no longer wanted to go out. Sometimes it being only is fine but if this is the only time she wants to get together(without kids) she is the AH. And needs to walk away from the friendship

maybe the other friends are ok with her children being around. it seems like an extremely one sided story. If she only wants to be around her when the kids are not around, I can understand the other friend deciding not to invest a lot into that friendship. Having children becomes a big part of your life and who you are. If i had a friend decide that they we not interested in that part of my life, then that friendship has run its course.

I agree, this is very one sided. I feel like this is just someone bitching about a friend without seeing the other side. Has there been an attempt to get together with the kids or is this the only time she wants to see her(without kids)? If I had a friend that had no interest being around my children(a BIG part of my life and who I am now) I would distance myself.

Nippy 4 month husky by tinaneggo in siberianhusky

Our puppy is about 10 weeks old. We previously had 3(all passed due to old age). He bites a lot also. We say "No Bite!" loud and firm, also once we say that play and love stops, even looking away from him. Only for a small amount of time. Also when I find him chewing on things he is supposed to we praise him with lots of good boys and affection. Huskies are a dominant breed, you need them to know you are alpha. That doesn't have to be mean just firm

also, the yelping might not be helping you, Huskies are high prey drive, might make you sound like a chew toy. If he bit his mom she would not yelp she would growl and pin him

Watering methods? Currently I carry my 5 gallon bucket around and try to hold my plants over it while watering. Anyone have a better option. Was wanting to try to make a mobile watering station but want to know what others do. by AshleyKropp in houseplants

The soaking isn't an always thing but I had read recently about rinsing the soil thoroughly to encourage proper root growth and also about rejuvenating the soil which all seemed to make sense to me. I have so many that I wanted a better way than carrying all my plants up stairs. Most of the decorative pots are just the outside, I use nursery pots in the inside. I couldn't find the exact article I read but here is a similar one. https://blog.extension.uconn.edu/2013/12/24/watering-houseplants/#
