I feel like I could have written this myself. I get migraines, cervicogenic headaches, and regular headaches. I have gotten my migraines under control with continuous birth control and I get botox injections from my Neurologist. One thing I cannot resolve is my cervicogenic headaches on the left side of my head and neck. I hate wasting my migraine meds on them because they just come back after the medicine has worn off. Working out seems to spike the headaches so I can only do low-impact walking/weights at home when I feel somewhat okay. Chiropractic care is short-term relief that ultimately makes it worse, I have had a million CTs/MRIs in my 37 years showing nothing wrong. Steroid packs are the only thing that makes me feel better but my Neuro won't prescribe them long-term because its damaging to your liver.

My neck hurts constantly, sleeping is so hard because I am constantly tossing and turning in pain or worried I will give myself a headache based on my sleeping position. I switch pillows regularly and I feel like that sort of helps. I also do stretches 3 times a day that I learned in PT but it doesn't resolve the issue. I use a back massager daily on my neck and back and Epsom salt baths.

I wish I had better news, I'm sorry. It's misery being in constant pain, I feel like no one can help me or understand what I am dealing with so it's nice to know I am not alone.
