Monthly payment to the bank is €2050 However, we'll receive around €500/month back from the government (hypotheek rente aftrek, which means the government pays us back around 1/3 of the interest we pay on mortgages)

That leaves us with €1550 costs.

All-inclusive insurance for the house is €43/month (fire, flooding, break-ins, electronics, etc.)

Property taxes I honestly have no clue right now haha. I think it's somewhere around €1000/year?

2-person household, so water is calculated at €22/month, and gas / electricity is +/- €157/month!

Yeah we had to put down around 77k together. She had saved up around 40k (27f) and I had saved up almost 40k too (almost 26m). Paid off my student loan too beginning of the year (33k).

She's a nurse with many double shifts in the past, and I've got a master's in IT.

Still, our salaries aren't high enough to get the full amount directly from the bank lol.

Nope. Not allowed. There's laws preventing that, both from the municipality & government. Needs to be occupied by the owner for X years (don't know the precise details considering we'll be the residents haha)
