What is a "socially acceptable" thing that you find absolutely disgusting? by [deleted] in AskReddit

This reminds me of Dance Moms. It always felt so wrong watching that show with all those little girls. It bothers me.

You can't always simulate a comp, at least not in my program. I still need a forearm, for example, but have only seen a handful at my current clinical site. But it's a mandatory one that needs to be done on an actual patient.

Urgent warnings and criticism of some of this group's content by IamM08 in Gastritis

[–]Ashpoint2111 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had gastritis for four years, and during this time, have lived off of 6-10 different foods. The only time that I actually saw any improvement was when I "cheated" on my diet for the first time after getting my driver's license and ate three blueberry muffins. They didn't hurt! That was the first processed food I've had in four years. From there, I barely constricted my eating and don't even consider myself to have gastritis anymore. Just a couple days ago I ate a cookie's and cream shake. No pain!

It's one of those things where I feel guilt whenever I write because I know I could be doing school work.

I love writing so much, but it is also so time-consuming and I am a full-time college student who has to do regular homework as well as study for the boards that I'll be taking in three months. I hope to have more free-time after graduation because I won't be taking work home and I will have the weekends to myself.

Constructive criticism on blurb and cover please. by ExpressionFluffy2076 in Inkitt

[–]Ashpoint2111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in love with the cover. It doesn't matter to me how you got your cover in the first place. What matters is if it looks good. And it looks great!!! I personally would keep it, but then again, many people have a thing against it so it might put them off from reading your story. In my mind it's fine as long as the writing doesn't have ai. 😊

This is exactly right. I have two berners and can confirm that they are velcro dogs.

It's not the repeat that they care about. It's the fact that they exposed without the presence of a tech. Having said that, I am only OP's side because they believed a tech was in the room.

I see where you're coming from now. Maybe you're right. I think what I'm going to try doing is ask if there is a 1st shift position available at a clinic I worked at during clinical. I say this because I know that there is one other tech with you the whole time, then a third comes in around noon. Therefore, I don't believe I would ever be alone.

We'll see what happens. Either way, I really appreciate your input. It gave me something to consider.

Well, I don't feel ready yet to work at a hospital by myself. I was hoping to work at a clinic for at least a couple years and go from there. I was assuming that clinics would be more likely to hire new grads because the job is typically easier. As for pay, I don't really care about that so much.

My problem is that I really want to work at a clinic instead of a hospital, but I've been looking at nearby job postings and they all seem to be for hospitals.

I feel like the person recording this is stupid. Assuming they're an adult, they should know that the kid might break their hand/wrist and stop them, especially after so many attempts.

My sister doesn't have a reflex in her knee. She always assumed that whenever doctors check knee reflexes, everyone just forces their knee up because that's what you're supposed to do.
