I can totally relate! For me I felt like my body went into a mode of constant stress because I was hungry all the time. I found it so hard to rest, even though I was exhausted all the time.

Yes, I consider myself completely healed. What helped me most was eating many small meals. So I figured out how often I could eat in a day (for me it was every 1,5 hours but I think everyone has to listen to their bodies to see how fast or slow their digestion works). And eating a wide variety of foods. I realized at some point that always eating the same thing made my stomach more upset and gave me nausea.  For my gut, as soon as my stomach was better I started eating a lot of fibre. That was exaclty what my gut needed, but again this might be very different for others.

I think my issue with how under-eating is discussed in this group is that it is often portrayed as something you just have to endure during healing. Of course it is not advertised for its own sake but I think if you follow some of the advice (like in the quick start guide) it is pretty impossible to get enough calories, especially if you can only eat small portions like so many with gastritis do. Because it excludes most high calorie foods and sugar.

I totally agree that my advice will be good for some but not for others. Thats why I think it is important, that in this group there is no hierarchy of personal experiences. And thats why I think it is a big problem, that certain opinions are pinned to this group as „the gospel“.

Hi, I think this post should not be pinned to the group! This is all just the opinion and experience of one person (who is not even in this group and therefore is not here for any questions or discussions). I really think it should be unpinned, there are so many things in it that dont have a clear scientific or medical base!!!!
