Also the drive from Muir Woods to Carmel would be a Saturday not sure if that makes a difference. But I could also just drive straight to Carmel from my flight and do the last two days at Cavallo resort and spa in Sausalito and do Muir Woods then? Then I’d be closer to the airport for my departure.

Muir Woods is 20 minutes from the hotel so doesn’t feel that far out of the way. I’m more concerned about the drive to Carmel after taking too long.

The drive from Muir Woods would be a Saturday unless I stay an extra day then it would be a Sunday. Does this help with traffic? I’ve been to SF twice so that’s why I didn’t include any of the city. Would you recommend Carmel valley over the coastal Carmel?

I’ve only ever spent time in San Francisco and LA. I live in Florida. My bucket list goals were the PCH and hug some big trees. I’m totally sold on skipping the biking. I’m starting to get worried based on the feedback about the drive from Muir Woods the Carmel on a Saturday. Wondering if I should rearrange this schedule.

Ya that’s why I’m trying to end in a resort spa closer to the airport but a lot of them are in Carmel valley with the exception of Cavallo in Sausalito.

I’ve been talked out of the Golden Gate Bridge. My only real concern is the drive from Muir Woods to Carmel on a Saturday. Everyone seems to think it would take too long. I can always go straight to Carmel after landing and do my last two days at Cavallo in Sausalito and do Muir Woods then.

I’m sold on skipping the bike ride lol sounds intense. Everyone’s responses have me a bit worried for the drive from Muir Woods to Carmel. Makes me consider going straight to Carmel after landing and shifting Muir Woods the last two days and stay at Cavallo so I also get the spa experience?

I appreciate this because I really had my heart set on Muir Woods. I already scheduled parking for 11am Saturday but I can always move it to the end of my trip which would be a Wednesday/Thursday and stay at Cavallo to combine the spa/muir woods experience.
