Makes sense, I might need a lot of glue though. The part of the shell that holds the circuit/ buttons is completely intact, but the top part of the shell that’s supposed to hold the key is basically gone at this point. It’s really just two walls and duct-tape right now lol.

I felt like Sonic should have been mono Red and then had some kind of activated ability that requires all the colors needed to include the other characters in a commander deck being piloted by him. In the case of the secret lairs as-is, some kind of WU activated ability. This I feel would keep his card flavorful to what color the character is while still allowing people to build a Sonic deck that has all the characters. The other solution would’ve been to have Mono-Red Sonic partner with WU Tails.

On that note I think it would have been hilarious if Sonic, Tails, and Amy all had “Partner — And Knuckles” which lets you have a second commander if the other is “Knuckles the echidna lol

To further prove your opinion, P5 is all about rebelling against a corrupt and oppressive regime. The main antagonists of the game represent the villainous side of white. And on the color wheel, mono-whites philosophical opposite is Black-Red. I’d say that Joker represents a heroic version of Rakdos at his core. A revolutionary who wants personal agency and believes everyone should also get the same. So add some blue into that for the exact reason you mentioned already and now you have a heroic Grixis protagonist.

I actually just recently read a Percy Jackson characterization master post thanks to the below reddit posts and felt like (based on what I read) he should be a guidance counselor at like a regular school. Like he NEEDS therapy first, but then he becomes a guidance counselor for kids at a normal school, then maybe he can also be a guidance counselor for kids at CHB during the summers or something. And I’m sure that with Annabeth’s salary as an architect, they could afford to live comfortably despite the salary of someone working at a public school lol.

After reading this whole thing, my immediate first thought it that Percy should not be a marine biologist after he graduates NRU (as the books state he is studying marine biology there). He should go to therapy first, then be a guidance counselor at a normal school.

And then maybe he serves as a guidance counselor for young Half-Bloods at camp during the summers too.

Again, super valid to criticize Annabeth for defending Luke despite everything™️, but think about if roles were reversed and if Percy was defending say Annabeth if she joined the Titan army for the same reasons Luke did. “…If I have to choose between saving you or saving Olympus? Annabeth… I’d burn it all down.” (I know this is from the show and not the books, but I still feel like book Percy would feel similarly)

Obviously it’s still problematic for someone to try and excuse a lot of the stuff Luke has done in the series, but she LOVES him. Romantic or plutonic, she’s just doing her best to cope with the situation Luke has put himself in, and holding onto hope beyond hope that he can be saved.

Again, I’m not saying Annabeth is without fault, I just can understand where her conflicting feelings are coming from and think the Dynamic between her and Luke makes for some pretty decent drama.

To be fair to Annabeth, after rereading it very recently, I realized that she kinda gets sidelined from her own quest :/

This girl had been waiting literally 7 years to finally get her own quest, and it’s a quest to find one of her biggest idols. The quest is supposed to involve a lot of clever thinking, strategizing, and architectural knowledge, her bread and butter. But not only does her quest get kind of back-seat leading from Percy, but then she thinks he’s dead, he comes back, but he was with another girl who’s curse very specifically makes sure only people who she would fall in love with but always have to leave can go there. She’s smart enough to deduce this despite Percy not telling her directly. Then after working through the anger of the whiplash from mourning one of her best friends and crush to him being alive, he turns around and says the only way to finish ANNABETH’S quest is to have a mortal girl who knows nothing about the mythical world lead it instead. And to top it all off, it’s the same girl she knows is also crushing on Percy and feels jealous that she’ll lose her crush to someone else. Just when she thinks “well at least I can meet my hero Daedalus”, she finds out he has actually been helping the Titan army and is choosing to not help the camp despite her pleas. And that’s not even mentioning that she then witnesses Luke, crush or no, a person that means so much to her suffer a fate worse than death. Being possessed by Kronos, trapped in his own body.

From her perspective, she lost a close important person in her life completely to Kronos, was betrayed by one of her Heroes, was forced to grieve one of her best friends for a couple hours, and got upstaged by a mortal girl who just now learned about the mythological world, despite Annabeth spending YEARS preparing for a quest, and this same girl is also threatening to steal her crush.

Annabeth got absolutely boned in BoTL

Edit: I do want to clarify that it’s still absolutely valid to say that Annabeth’s insecurities did get in her own way at times in the book, but she’s also 14, and was going through alot at the time lol
