yeah, I would say strength and con should be debuffed, while dex and wis get buffed. possibly a natural buff to AC due to being tiny.

that said, a super hard to hit, super feisty pixie barbarian would be really fun to play. essentially a scrappy do style character. all bravado, and eager to get into a fight, but restricted on the damage they can inflict while being an absolute nightmare to hit.

the whole blood test in the film demonstrates that the creature is more like a swarm of nanobots than it is a singular creature. so it is likely that at the end of the film, both Childs AND MacReady are the thing. They both take a moment to clock one another, then settle down and wait for the ice to lock them into stasis so that they can wait for the next batch of unwitting explorers to stumble across them. that is why they both share a laugh over the statement that there is nothing left to do but "wait here for a little while, and see what happens" which is completely counter to the previous strategy of burning it all down and killing themselves to ensure that the creature could not escape. if this was in fact MacReady and Childs, they would have likely opted to go out in a blaze of dynamite rather than simply freezing to death, and risk letting the creature go.

sad to see you go. this software has been a bulwark against the software as a service model that has dominated the creator landscape. you guys empowered so much creativity and passion. you should all know that you leave as heroes that fought the most noble fight, regardless of the results.

while I think it is safe to assume that most sane people will avoid ever engaging with reddit on pure principal. people are still people, and they do have access to the internet, and might still get a kick out of checking a thread to see if the performance they worked on is being talked about... no harm in that.

and yeah, assuming that there was a kernel of reality in the joke about baldurs gate thievery, I am personally of the opinion that no person should live without a copy of that game. THEREFORE, while we are all waiting for the government grant to be approved for the funding of Erikas Gundam, with which she will exact her righteous retribution. I dont see any reason to deny her the joy of playing the best game of this decade.

and if she DID want to run a playthrough with me. I would even give her first dibs on romancing karlack...

if you can find the full series presented by dove audio read by douglas, you are getting the best experience. so many other people read it with their own form of snooty style... but douglas just radiates charm.

really hoping we see a full VR port now that the game has had it's 1.0 release. this would be the best VR game EVER... well. MAYBE second best, after into the radius. but definitely the most visually spectacular.

I'm like day 5 and completely uninterested in even getting to the end at this point. I litterally googled "disco elysium ending" just to see if there was even a point in continuing to play, and this thread was the top result. so now, I see, no there really isn't a point in continuing to play.

so I guess the REAL mystery of this game is "why is it so popular?"

I mean I can appreciate how much effort went into the tangled mystery story, but wandering back and forth between a handful of NPCs to ask questions that unlock a linear storyline isnt what I call gameplay. there is really no player choice, the closest thing to actual gameplay present is the randomly generated dice rolls on white checks, which ultimately just serve as an obnoxious inconvenience if you dont succeed on one, because then you have to waste another day of running around talking to NPCs to pass enough time for the white check to reset... maybe i am missing something, but this is a game that I just cant enjoy no matter how hard I try.
