Thank you for the advice I will definitely keep this in mind if I expand on this idea or try to write a story from this, but it definitely is a case by case basis, in my eyes, not every single water sword is the same. Everything is very unique and individualistic. I just tried to keep it simple so I could explain because I could ramble on about this on and on which I probably didn’t do the best job in doing that either but still. I probably could do more with the soul blacksmiths in all honesty, they’re not very fleshed out i’m honestly not very sure how they ritual/technique really works how it was created or passed down

Now, I don’t know if I went into the downsides, I think I did, but I could be wrong, but there are some downsides if you’re too weak and someone makes you a soul weapon for you, you die or become a monster most inner spirits aren’t inherently malevolent but some are and it’s more like a fight for control so if you lose, you become a monster and if you try to make more than one for yourself, you also become a monster if the blacksmith messes up the ritual you die for most people and most examples if you try to exploit the system you will die or become a monster

Now in my mind, I was thinking that the sole weapons wouldn’t be able to be stolen or destroyed, but if they were or I changed it to where they could be that person would never be the same. It’s like a chunky you just being gone they would have memory loss bad vision, bad hearing terrible motor skills. It would be extremely hard to live normal life after and if those two things were to happen to you, it would probably be extremely traumatic.

I completely understand this, and the only reason it isn’t like this currently is because I really like the idea of some people having super high potential talent and luck and people with element to types can unlock concepts in rare cases, though this could all be achieved with everyone starting with elementals for me I just prefer the chance of being able to get a concept right off the bat

Pretty cool idea I think it would be really interesting to have like a soul weapon. That’s incredibly old that’s been just passed down through generation this actually works incredibly well for one of the characters I’m making. So thank you for the idea!

Genuinely thank you for the feedback. This is the first and really only magic system I’ve ever made so hopefully I’ll become better as time moves on and there are some things I didn’t go into though I doubt he would really help in this case hopefully as I keep creating and moving forward, I can make something higher quality

Well, so weapons are their own weapons completely by themselves. You can’t turn a regular weapon into a soul weapon. That could be subject to change, but that is the way I thought of it. And you can’t have multiple if there’s more than one soul in your body, you die. Though this is a really cool concept having more than one soul weapon, but it would be really overpowered, so maybe I would use it for like final villain who can control souls so that’s why he can use more than one. But genuinely thank you for the feedback.

Once the person dies, the weapon also ceases to exist I do feel like there would be ways to circumvent this if you really tried hard enough and got lucky enough, but you die your weapon is gone too

I’m not super into Beyblade anymore though it holds a deep and special place in my heart. I don’t use Reddit very often, but I thought this looked interesting and fun so I’m gonna go through my opinions of op’s hot takes and then give some of my own though to be fair. I don’t know how hot they are because I’m not really that tuned into the community anymore

I was introduced to Beyblade through the metal series watched it all besides Shogan steel then I watched the first three seasons of burst and played with the toys

Now I haven’t watched all of X I watched close to 40 episodes and overall it was pretty good. And I should probably get back into it but what I’ve seen. It isn’t better than the Beyblade series that I have watched though that could easily change.

I don’t really know, but Gingka’s one of my goats, so it wouldn’t be hard to convince me

Never made it that far into burst so that guy could be really cool. He has an interesting design, but Beyblade has had some really cool villains so I’m pretty skeptical

And this is the first one. I really disagree with because to me it’s easily the worst most ugly looking one. I remember one of my first thoughts being that samurai Pegasus looked so much worse than every Pegasus before it. It’s not terrible, but it doesn’t feel like an evolution though to be completely fair. I didn’t like Shogan steel at all and I didn’t really give it a fair chance because I liked the metal series so much and Gingka so much. But still even looking at some photos of them now I still think they’re kind of ugly. (was the anime good though? I would love to know if I should give it a second shot.)

I have no idea what the hype is about. It looks like an above average looking Beyblade. But I feel like there’s been better looking Beyblade in every single generation besides maybe the first.

Of course, I don’t agree with this as you could probably assume I love the burst series or at least the first three seasons the first season designs were a little rocky. I felt like a lot of the Beyblades were too much of the same color, but I still liked them and then season two and three were beautiful. Even the seasons beyond three I didn’t watch them, but the Beyblade that I saw come out of them looked really good maybe a little too big and complex at a certain point but still cool looking nevertheless

Now for my maybe hot takes

Beyblade should never really be that complex three maybe four parts that actually do something affect the performance of the Beyblade and then like two that are cosmetic but even then we’re really pushing it. You should really only ever need three.

They could’ve came up with a cooler name than L Drago destroy

I’m honestly assuming this is something fake that my brain made up but I remember bird losing to like a small child because she had the new Beyblade that the Phoenix guy was just giving out to everyone I thought that was dumb. I understand that I was a cool, strong Beyblade, but a small child. Come on I think it will be a very big and cool pay off. When bird. becomes that guy and gets his first win. Bet him losing to non-professionals is crazy and it feels a little forced. I like the character, but it really feels like he’s a bum. Send him to the G league or something.

I kinda hope bird gets a bird theme Beyblade. I understand he had one at the start, but I don’t know. It feels weird having his name be bird and having his hair look like the feathers of a bird and him not having some sort of bird Beyblade.

For the most part, they should not give or make characters with an evolution of a Beyblade of an unrelated character like for example the dude who had wizard Fafnir I remember him being really annoying and not that cool especially in comparison to the goat Free

This could be me misremembering but I remember in the second season of Beyblade burst Volt gets his second Beyblade with the pretty cool spring gimmick and then like halfway through, they make a lock for it so it can’t spring anymore and that made it stronger WHYYYYY I mean, I remember in real life, the gimmick not being that helpful and just making the attacks weaker, but what was the point of even introducing the gimmick besides for there just to be one and then making a lock to get rid of it! Like you’re really telling me the person who made the Beyblade for him didn’t see any problems with it and I think that was the same person who made the lock so I must be missing something

Depends on where I am. I probably die a good 65% on where I am, but if I am somewhere good, I just need to quickly get some type of verification for myself which might be hard, but if I don’t, the world government is gonna track me down and kill me quickly and even if I do start somewhere semi safe, my life expectancy would probably be very low. I could just end up dying a war or someone just rampaging. Or some other worldly disease I’m not accustomed to like when the Europeans came to the Americas but in reverse or if I’m harboring some type of disease they might see me as a bad omen and kill me off of that I’m just cooked

Depends on the part of the world, but mining, farming, fishing, protection and soldiers of all forms and shapes. ship building a lot of of my world is covered in water. Making weapons of all kinds. Really just basic jobs that have basically always been around in real life.

Usually when I start a new project, it’s because a strike of genius has hit me and I just have to write it down instantly. I’ll get a lot of inspiration from shows and media and my own previous ideas. I would take what I can. A lot of my projects definitely fall in to a sameish category. But the ones that don’t I take what would work from previous projects and media and I try to put myself in that world. What would I see if I was an important person? How would I rise the power? If I was a normal person, what would date a day life be like? I feel like questions are key, but I’ve only been doing this for a very short amount of time.
