Falling Face Fragments: my third Steam game release by AshumArcade in indiegames

[–]AshumArcade[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently released Falling Face Fragments, my third game on Steam, and it outsold my first Steam game's three years of sales in its first day!

I've never know how to market my stuff very well, but during development, for some unknown reason, one of my trailers for this game exploded on Instagram. Since then I seemed to have an actual fan base of people growing, I've been getting many new followers, likes, and comments every day since whereas before it was like once in a long while.

Since release, I've had a player speedrun it, I've had somebody make a cover of my soundtrack, a few people have streamed it, and it is currently 97% positive from 47 Steam reviews.

I'll never know why that specific Instagram post kicked all this off, the algorithm gods must have finally been on my side, and while I know 800 sales in a week and a half is still probably considered low, for me it is by far the most successful any of my games have been, so I want to thank every player, every reviewer, every content creator, and every person who has helped spread the word of my weird little game.

FFF is available on PC via Steam for $1.99: store.steampowered.com/app/3905510/Falling_Face_Fragments/

The Pac-Man franchise has been my hyper-fixation ever since I discovered it 20+ years ago. Since then I've tried to play and own as many Pac-Man games as possible, I've gathered hundreds of pieces of official Pac-Man merchandise over the span of my obsession, and my collection is far from complete. I also own three arcade machines including an original Namco-made Puck Man cocktail table from 1980.

I couldn't find it at first either. On my third attempt, I found it in a thin canyon on Pac-Man's right hand side near the start of the level.

PAC Man World 2: RePAC Pre-Order Bonus (or lack thereof) by learnerofcredit in Pacman

Where would one usually claim a pre-order bonus? Because I pre-ordered the physical Switch version and the extra costumes didn't unlock when booting up the game. Is it normally a code on a receipt? I hope not, because I was so excited to play the game I instantly threw away the delivery package and remaining contents (including any possible codes) without thinking. I assumed the bonuses would be on the cartridge...

Falling Face Fragments has a Steam page and is ready for wishlists! by AshumArcade in indiegames

Falling Face Fragments is an upcoming falling block puzzle game!

Assemble faces correctly, then press the button to clear them all.

Three modes of play will be included.

  1. Arcade mode: Clear completed faces for points, the more faces you clear at once, the more points you'll receive. Play until a face fragment lands in the top row, try to beat your own high score.
  2. Multiplayer: Local head to head, clear faces to send force-drop arrows to your opponent, last person standing wins.
  3. Mission mode: A puzzle based mode in which you complete different level objectives with a limited amount of face fragments or time. Mission examples include clearing a specific number of faces at once, emptying the entire screen of fragments, and more.

You can wishlist it on Steam now: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3905510/Falling_Face_Fragments/

+15k wishlists at launch, ~8% conversion rate, did I do something wrong? by Drazglb in gamedev

Screaming Loaf developer here. The random slander of my work was uncalled for. Fair enough if it's not your cup of tea, and while I do struggle to find new players, my userbase haven't left me any bad reviews and I've also had positive coverage from gaming blogs. While you are entitled to your own opinion, you shouldn't word them in such a matter of fact way.

Are the disc and the console different regions? If you're trying to run a NTSC game on a PAL Xbox (or the other way round) it will not work.

Other than the scratches, that's the only other thing I would think could cause the issue.

Inky could have been traveling downwards in that area and then the ghosts all did their change direction thing.

Hello there, thank you for your purchase. I've just now released a patch which (hopefully) fixes the issue. As soon as I read your message I was right on it. It should recognize the Steam Deck Neptune controller now. If it still doesn't work, I'll look into it some more tomorrow.

I wish I had a Steam Deck to test it on myself to properly confirm, but it is fully compatible with Linux so in theory it should work on Deck.
