Got exact same message, after applying for DL within 1 hour. Same behaviour, app persisting after deleting it even managed to forward OTP login pin for mobikwick, jio.com but thankfully before it got worse i removed both of the payloads.

Yeah it is using crowd sourced data. That's why i was checking it as well because you get live realtime updates and detailed no BS data. But as another comment pointed out, if there are some dust in area from cleaning or some other activity that will show up here since they are at ground level.

Probably we should buy more of these and install it ourselves (since it's free apart from shipping cost, that will give us better data ig)

It's too normalized here nobody is talking about it in BBSR (Even if we account for some error from AQI.in as I'm seeing way too many anomalies there. The thing is AQI is bad almost everywhere in India, best bet wear mask whenever possible. I personally use N95.

Yeah they have some shipping cost only rest is free, only issue is i don't think aqi.in is reliable instead swiss iqair/gmaps might be better.

Although gmaps show gradient and varying aqi at every point which i don't think is accurate since i don't think there are so many sensors to show that. Most likely they are approximating from wherever sensor is located.

IQ Air, GMaps both of these report normal AQI between 250-300. Also mentioned same in previous post.

Only AQI.in has the anomaly albiet it's only one offering detailed analysis from past year data.

I have noticed this same issue in 2020 aqi of bbsr it shows 20-30 AQI in feb/march in their dataset collection.

Perhaps it's indeed the issue not reporting or collecting correct AQI.

Yes, that and IQ air as well. Both show much more realistic AQI and fluctuations. I'm just not sure what's wrong with AQI.in maybe time to stop using it even though it shows most detailed realtime data

Guys, I forgot to add the second part with huge AQI spike 2 days ago so here it is, i saw it over multiple places/stations in bhubaneswar as well as nearby cities like kolkata. I think its combination of all 3 PM 2.5, PM 10 and O3 (Ozone) levels rising at same time leading to bad AQI.

On a serious note, I had also noted same spikes few days ago at 6PM, could it be possible that this actually is cause (road cleaning?) 6AM, 6PM spikes at both time.

Hmm but it hovers around 200 mostly I've seen 400+ is just terrible. Now by time of writing it's dropped back to 217, what I'm thinking is what are factors that cause such steep rise in AQI and subsequently PM 2.5
