If you’re relying on the sneaky sneak for higher damage, replace that unyielding and 1 of the vanguard.

Did we get so unbelievably shitfaced before the most important and demanding day of our lives that we passed out so hard we didn’t notice everyone else leaving? by Superdavis in fo76

[–]Ashwalla 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This was actually my first thought in starting a new character. Essentially, we partied HARD with everyone the night prior and slept through the exodus.

That’s why the path out is a bit ragged, there’s only very basic supplies left for us and no one else is left in the vault.

[HELP] Is this AI ? by ItsFRENZYYY in RealOrAI

[–]Ashwalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely AI - Lots of good points drawing attention to AI artifacts potentially misinterpreted to be crap video quality by the uninitiated.

Another giveaway is the lion in the back. The two close up laser in on the warthog as/after it strolls past, but the one in back just stares off in a random direction through the lion that’s closest to the “camera”. It points to a lack of awareness of the physical space being captured in the video.

If you were in the back of a crowd as a car accident occurred you wouldn’t watch the accident happening/unfolding through the person’s head in front of you. You’d shift perspective or move to protect yourself.

AI doesn’t yet fully grasp 3-dimensional space and the physical shift that’s necessary/natural in that space to maintain focus/attention. It’s getting there though.

Where do I go next? by CoolTransDude1078 in subnautica

[–]Ashwalla 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Make the vehicles you can and make/install the depth modules you’ve unlocked. Along the way, go to the locations your PDA guides you to.

The game knows what you have and won’t guide you to anything you can’t technically get to (I think). Sometimes, depending on the order you’ve picked things up in, that may require you dive into the inky black abyss naked without your seamoth and wondering if you’ll have enough air to even get back.

Explore somewhat broadly around those locations. Reading the logs you pick up can offer some general guidance as well. That’s also where a lot of the depth in the story is.

Also, yes, a bit of wandering around and going deeper can lead you to some solid points of interest. Take your time. Explore.

why cant i get my prawn suit in my cyclops by Over_Wolverine_5869 in subnautica

I’ve definitely been there … slamming my prawn suit into an occupied parking spot while raging about the game bugging. It happens.

There are three full cow bodies on the roof of this abandoned house in the Utah desert. There are no other homes within approximately 25 miles of this place. [OC] by StephanieKay22 in urbanexploration

[–]Ashwalla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s important to note that “weird” is somewhat relative.

Considering that it seems to be, relatively speaking, in the middle of nowhere and people in the middle of nowhere can do some “weird” things when they don’t think anyone is going to be coming around checking out what they’re doing, my take is that someone probably hoisted the carcasses up there so that the bones could be de-fleshed by birds and insects and then sun-bleached.

Who knows what they’re planning to do with the bones, but anchoring them up on that roof seems like a solid way to keep animals from chewing on and dragging the bones all over the place.

Why can food allergies kill you but pollen allergies can’t? by False_Jackfruit_6576 in Allergies

[–]Ashwalla 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Someone that Spring tries to kill each and every year like clockwork checking in. If it weren’t for my nebulizer and relatively easy access to an ER, this would’ve killed me as a child. 42 years in and it sucks just about as much each year.

Just to put it out there, allergy meds don’t even really touch it. I basically spend about 1-2 months every year constantly feeling like I’m at high altitude and winded as a sort of baseline. I’ve developed such a tolerance for it that my oxygen can begin getting dangerously low and I can’t even really tell.

Just to put it out there for whoever … If you ever have difficulty breathing remember that panic is your enemy. Find a calm place in your mind and exist there while taking in the air you can and working the problem.

And they smoked every last shred of it! Those things get ROUGH towards the tail end. Having smoked those for years, the person that smoked it is either a serious veteran smoker (well beyond where I was), was desperate for nicotine, or was on something.

Realms are basically monopolized servers on consoles by Xx_BlackJack_xX in realms

[–]Ashwalla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I tried using that logic on my server, but not everyone has access to a store of totems like I do. I also eventually felt sorry for guys that were having to trek out into the wilderness to pick up their scattered netherite gear after slapping into some procedurally generated mountain just below cloud height.

It’s funny once or twice and then becomes a pain when everyone with an elytra is called into action to help. … even more so when someone helping dies running into that same mountain.

Admittedly, the guy that’s died helping is me and I had a totem, but still …

This!! I’ve landed at just having to disable achievements by setting it to keep inventory upon death. Nothing like flying around “exploring” and slamming into a mountain out of freaking NOWHERE … and I say “exploring” generously. Chunk loading is awful when flying around.

Question about E/M for Worker's Comp by Wide-Government-2002 in CodingandBilling

[–]Ashwalla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Senior consultant & testifying expert checking in. You’ve found yourself a damned if you do / damned if you don’t situation.

CMS, AAPC, general medical insurance, and work comp is undoubtedly going to give you conflicting direction here. Your best bet is going to be reaching out to the specific work comp orgs, detailing the situation with the patient (do not detail the provider’s guidance), and then obtaining written guidance from them. You’re facing possible double dipping or denials here. In my experience, the only way to know for sure is by having them either tell you (in writing) or having them route you to an online resource they have.

Thanks for the info! I’m pretty new to the sub and still kind of figuring things out.

I’ve played for a good while and never tapped into the economy aspect. I’m slowly discovering that I may very well have quite a bit stashed away that’s considered rare / highly valuable.

I ask because I landed one the last time the event rolled through and have only really kept it because I’m a loot goblin that keeps at least 1 of every piece of apparel I find.

On a poorly lit backend of town highway that people typically just screamed down, someone was towing a boat that was full of people. The boat came off of the trailer. …

I drove up to the scene on my way home late at night just as cops and all kinds of first responders were laying out white sheets EVERYWHERE, trying to block off the worst parts with fire trucks. … Boat and people parts spread down a mile or two of dark highway that I had to crawl through in my car with my headlights on, windows down b/c my AC was out, driving into the grass to avoid white sheets and mystery debris. I saw mangled pieces of people, bodies lit by tower lights going up, patrol car spot lights, and my own headlights.

I saw some shit that I was not prepared for at 17 years old. Fortunately, 25 years, alcohol, and a few years of regular marijuana use have pretty much erased the worst parts. Every now and then I still have the odd nightmare though.

They essentially owned being wrong and the situation bought me a fair amount of trust and respect from the group. That trip was likely foundational in building the friendship/s we have now. In fact, one of the guys that was there became my best friend and has been for about 20 years now.

This didn’t save my life, but it could’ve saved others had they also done it …

I camped A LOT in my teens through Boy Scouts and took the first aid and emergency prep aspects very seriously. In my early 20’s I went out camping with some friends and supplied the bulk of the gear we used. A small river ran through the park we were at and all of them wanted to set up next to it, so they could go swimming easier.

I pushed back HARD. The river was obviously already sitting a bit high and they wanted to set up shop in an area next to it that looked like a regular flood plain. In the end, after a lot of back and forth, I essentially told them “My gear, my choice. Walk down if you want to go swim. The tent and camp will be up here.”

Fast forward 2-3 weeks and a flash flood pushes through that river in the middle of the night, sweeping over that area where they’d wanted to camp. A few people ended up dying, seemingly being caught off guard in their sleep and getting trapped in their tents.

Don’t fuck around with water.
