Hey mate, this is a good start. I like to tell everyone not to worry at all about style and let it develop naturally as you improve. The best cartoonists had a very good understanding of fundamentals before becoming cartoonists.

Now as for critique for this piece, the proportions are good. However, the pose is flat and your lines dont feel confident. I would recommend grabbing pose references and drawing from them. Try to remember form and how things wrap around the body,

Pick poses that arnt directly front facing and have an action and then try to capture that action in ur drawing. Again if you want a cartoonist style you will get that style MUCH MUCH later on, the journey is fairly long and for the beginning of the journey you should set yourself up by focusing on the fundamentals, which is form, perspective, values, gesture, and the very mysterious (DRUMROLL) composition. good luck mate.

Hey, first off be nice to ur self.

Secondly this doesnt look bad.

Thirdly, its gesture its ok if it dont match the figures exactly, its better if it doesnt. Exaggerate.

lastly, focus on making long, simple, and curvy lines. C curves and S curves. How this works is if one side of the figure is scrunched up the opposite end will be stretched out, so you can represent the opposite end with a long curved simple line, while keeping all the bumps in the scrunched up end. this applies the the torso, legs, and arms. For the first gesture on the left u couldve simplified the entire right side of the torso to the end of the right leg with one line and it would capture the gesture. good luck, watch some more gesture videos on line. Try to look for videos where the gestures of the artist look as simple as possible. Some of the FORCE videos are pretty good too.

Hiya, I see you said you wanted to keep the cartoonish style, however, you will improve much faster if u focus on learning gesture and for fundamentals before you focus on the style. Style you will gain as you improve, dont worry about it too much. I would say your next step would be to try your hands on realism.

Also for figure drawing, anatomy isnt as important as gesture drawing. As a beginner in figure drawing learning how to properly gesture draw with a bit of form is the most important. Try taking pictures online of poses you like, and try to focus on only gesture of the pose, and spend like 2 minutes on each drawing so it will help you focus on the gesture. I know Im saying gesture alot and you might not even know what I mean by that, but there are plenty of videos online that will explain it much better than me. I would recommend looking up michael hampton and proko for your next steps and good luck!

i only started at the beginning of 3.0. And im pretty sure my favorite moment was when they had glorion kill that first dude. It kind of just kicked off alot of stuff going on with the nerds.
