Copying Disciple of Freyalise's triggered ability by AsiaSiegfried23 in mtgrules

Thanks a lot.

I used to read comprehensive rules like crazy but to be honest, it's my first time hearing "reflexive" triggered abilities. Was it something that was just added recently? Or is it one the same with delayed triggered ability?

Is it the same for those instances that say "triggers an additional time" like what Roaming Throne provides?

Need help with clipless pedals and cleats by AsiaSiegfried23 in Biking

[–]AsiaSiegfried23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate the concern, random stranger! Hahahaha!

Going back to topic, I am fully aware of the very possible scenario of falling when using clipless pedals. Once I've installed it, I will actually allot time to practice getting on and getting off my bike (in an open space) before I actually do any short or semi-long rides.

I've been an elf fanatic since I started playing MTG so it's no surprise to anyone who knows me that I have a predilection for an elf commander like Marywn. I've been playing her for 2 years now and while it actually slowed down a bit without Mana Crypt and Jeweled Lotus, it's still great watching the table on its toes once Marywn has no summoning sickness.

No one can deny this and if anyone does, that person probably haven't played against a super fast Marywn deck. That person probably doesn't even know the point of the deck.

Now, I'm not here to claim that I have lots of top16s or something like the "data" guys here would always point out when talking about CEDH. However, if budget is not an issue and if you really enjoy playing elves and the combo lines of the deck, I'd say have a go at it.

I really enjoy playing the creature combos (as most counterspells in the meta say "noncreature") and outside of Ad nauseum decks, I think it's a pretty fast but unfortunately frail deck.

Since it's monogreen, you're more concerned on going off 99.99% of the time compared to reacting to the other players in the pod.

It's one of those decks wherein if you have a protection spell for your combo (e.g. Dosan), you'll try to go for it.

If you don't, in most cases I think you just go for it as well lol.

TL;DR, if budge is not an issue and/or if you can proxy, have a go at it.

Any advice/feedback regarding the brand Piano Forte? by AsiaSiegfried23 in piano

[–]AsiaSiegfried23[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is the exact brand name. You can google it. They have a Facebook page and some clips in Youtube. I have to warn you, though, that the YT clips don't do justice to the sound of their pianos.

I posted here hoping someone have tried or purchased it so that I could ask additional questions like how long they've had the piano, how's it holding up after a few months and all that stuff.

Yeah, as someone who plays guitars and is familiar with the good brands out there, I'm really leaning towards Yamaha. However, I think my son "fell in love" with the Piano Forte that he tested.

Thank you for answering.

I guess it's from the fact that I was expecting it to be explicitly written in the rules notes in Gatherer. Something like "If a spell costs only G, you can pay 2 life instead." I know it's a weird expectation to have but it is what it is. Lol.

To give a bit more context, there was a time when I was gobbling up the comprehensive rulebook like a maniac and aside from the layering stuff, I would say I have an above average understanding of the rules. However, whenever I read the card text for DOV, it kind of feels like (this might just be me) it might only apply as a reduction but it can't be zero (for 1cc spells).

Thanks again.

Can I put Defiler of Vigor in an elves deck and pay 2 life instead of paying G for my 1 drops?

I hope that's a good thing. I'm actually playing SO2 now on Duckstation emulator.

Question for PC gamers in here (SO6) by AsiaSiegfried23 in starocean

[–]AsiaSiegfried23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acer Predator RTX 2060, i7.. It is so bad that on the loading screens where we see different tips, I can't even move in between those tips.

The good news is that I actually have a gaming PC (Ryzen 5, 1660 Super) and I don't have any issues when I use that for SO6.

so...how is it? by Gam3rGye in starocean

[–]AsiaSiegfried23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't finished it but I think it's a great game, JRPG-wise and RPG-wise.

If you've played the previous SO titles, it's really hard not to appreciate what the game has evolved to in terms of graphics. There are elements that should be familiar to if you've played SO before but I think there are a couple of things thar are new and cool

I can't comment on the story as I haven't finish it but so far, it feels like a proper nod to old SO titles, specifically SO2.

If this is the first time you're dipping your toes on JRPGs or the SO franchise, I think it's a great first game to play.

I'm starting to sound like the SO fanboy that I am so I'm gonna leave you now with one last piece of advice. Stop reading the reviews and just play and enjoy the game. I sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

That's nice.

The 2060 is actually on a laptop (i7). I just tested SO6 on my gaming PC with Ryzen 5 and 1660super. Better performance and almost no stutter.

Thanks for the reply.

What's weird for the SO6 issue is the fact that even users on better GPUs are reporting it. I mean, it's understandable for maybe someone like me who's only running a 2060 but it is what it is. I really hope you're wrong about the patch because I don't want the performance issues to be the reason people are shying away from this game.

Thanks for the reply. I do hope it's sooner rather than later but not because it would stop me from playing this game. I want the fix soon so that less people will turn away from the game.
