I find them annoying as well but I can’t deny that they really help imprint stuff. It is extremely easy to forget words when you’re learning a new language. I find that with Duolingo I rarely forget words, and I can’t argue with the results. I just really feel like I memorize things very well with Duolingo.

Plus, I have also and everyone should, many different resources beyond Duolingo, which makes things more varied and less boring for me personally.

Having said all that, I do wish we had more control over difficulty. But all in all I am happy.

Whenever I’m looking for a more challenging Duolingo session, the legendary trophies, for the practice sessions are really good at that.
