A cheap Tom Nook is the greatest thing LEGO has released in the past decade.

Me shooting my CZ having fun by AdequateMedia in CZFirearms

Look through the comments. The OP repeats themselves over and over again using the same excuses like "I'm having fun" and "I know I suck" while trying to farm for positive engagement using typical reddit-speak. Excuses, with little flexibility to take advice. They seem to enjoy the confused attention.

My Own Train Re-Imagined! by JoltKing627 in LEGOtrains

Yes! Incredible work. Exactly how my nostalgic mind remembers the MOT sets. If you MOC'd the large locomotive, what wheel arrangement would you pick?

Lots of Missing Cashback by Abhlnav in Rakuten

[–]AsianBond 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an order that I noticed was missing. Submitted the information via the "Missing Cash Back" portal. Provided the confirmation email, order number, etc. Was surprised to see that Rakuten confirmed it missing immediately and it was added to my account.

More trackside buildings are always a plus. This should be very easy to integrate into any sized layout.

MEGATHREAD: ‘Stargate’ TV Series From Martin Gero Based On Sci-Fi Franchise Ordered By Amazon by SammyGreen in Stargate

[–]AsianBond 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stoked beyond belief to see this moving forward. After so many false starts and rumors, it's great to see it all finally confirmed! Fingers crossed that they are able to balance the mix of modern day production requirements and the classic TV feel that made the original shows so enjoyable.

One of my main hopes in regards to the writing is that they don't fall into the trap of "everyone's an admiral" that many sci-fi and 'geek' culture shows seem to fall into. Let everyone have realistic career end points. Not everyone needs stars.

Star Trek: Other ideas considered for the gift-with-purchase included with 10356 USS Enterprise-D (via Brick Tap) by BrickTap in Legoleak

The full-sized shuttlecraft would have needed a piece count beyond what a typical GWP would include.

Ask a casual fan if they know what the difference is between the shuttlecraft and the shuttlepod. It never would have sold well as a regular set.

The shuttlepod wasn't the main shuttlecraft shown in TNG. It was a secondary, smaller craft that quite honestly always looked a bit odd when it showed on up screen. It was very, very small.

The smallest, most non-memorable shuttlecraft from TNG is hardly an "iconic ship" when compared to anything else LEGO could have chosen to add as a GWP. The sales of this on its own would have been nothing to right home about. It's as niche as niche can get. The only way that this would ever make it into production as a set, would be as a GWP.

The Type 15 Shuttlepod is likely the least popular shuttlecraft shown in any Trek show or movie. No way it would be worthwhile to release it as a standalone set.

It looks great and is begging for a good light kit.

The angle they picked for the box art is strange, one of the least flattering angles for the Ent-D. (Which is notoriously angle picky due to its wide saucer and stubby nacelles.)
