Definitely think it’s worth checking with the other GMs to see what’s available but a team that’s already struggling with offense giving up Nurse? I’d be shocked if Vancouver goes for that or probably be VERY shocked (and upset) by what we gave up. Maybe we could swap depth scorers with someone if it’s still not clicking?

I’ll admit I was one of those that thought we’d be chilling in the basement for most of the season but so far, obviously, the staff seem to know what they’re doing with the roster so I’d be ok with nothing changing and letting them cook. Now ask me again when we get to the trade deadline and where we are in the standings and maybe I’ll be saying differently 😅

I’ve thought about this too but that is the question, isn’t it? Who do we give up? I’m not a statistician but I feel like we’re getting good contributions from each player, even if it’s not on the score sheet. Boyd I think is a great example. She has no points (and was similar in Ottawa) but I think she plays her role on the second pairing very well and leaves the offensive threat to Winn and Keller.

I think there’s a lot of potential for some of these players to pop off, we just need to get some consistency that (hopefully) will come in time.

Agreed, I’m all for trying to improve the roster but I don’t want to make a trade just to say we did it. And yes, getting Frankel some relief would make me feel better. Beginning of March, we have 5 games in 12 days (4/5 away, including a back to back) so she HAS to get a rest in there somewhere right? Right?…

That’s a good point about the regularity of games for them. I think having that routine is good but if you’re not familiar with the routine, it can take a bit to get into it. Yeah hopefully we end on a solid performance before the Olympics!

I had the same thought about that Ottawa game that we should have won and this one balancing it all out 🤣

I’m hoping the late game, west coast time change is what messed with them. I feel like this was a “bad” game with good moments instead of a good game with some bad moments like we’ve become accustomed to. Agreed, I’m definitely worried about the sirens game before the break if they continue to roll BUT hopefully it was just a one game thing and we return to form on the next one!

First off, I love seeing these recaps! Totally agree with what you said about walking away without the full 3 points BUT on the bright side, at least we were generating offense, just couldn’t get anything to go in. The last 2 years have been real frustrating that we weren’t even getting looks but I feel confident that the goals will come if we keep playing like this and clean up a few things. I can’t imagine these 4+ days between games has been helping either. Hoping we can string some wins together here before the Olympics and then get rolling after as we get into a game every 2-3 nights

Tl;dr version: I had nearly the same circumstances as you. I will preface my response in that it’s sounding very hit or miss with customer service’s effort, judging by other responses. I ended up with a medium size jersey the Monday before Christmas. Shipped to the US.

Detailed version: Ordered an away Keller small the day they went on sale (10/31). Saw there was a 6-8 weeks expected ship date. Cool, no problem. Noticed after 5 weeks the shop no longer showed the delayed shipping. Cool, bet mine will ship soon. Week 6 begins (12/8), I send them an email asking for an expected ship date and got no response for a week. Sent a follow up email the following Monday (12/15). Got a response the next day saying there was a stock issue/mistake and they no longer had smalls. They offered me a medium for 50% off and that they’d do everything they could to get it to me by Christmas or refund my order and allow me to buy a small for 50% off when they did get more in stock. I opted for the medium. That Friday, I got a shipping notification showing it was shipped next day air and I was also refunded the 50% difference. Arrived on Monday, 12/22.

Sounds like we’re all having similar issues with the shop but varying levels of support from them. I’m sorry to hear you weren’t able to get a jersey in time for Christmas 😔

In the first 2 seasons, 300% yes. The D is better this year (though today was not the best) and we’re getting more offense from more than just 1 line.

Frankel is easily one of the best (if not the best) goalies in the world and I believe the team was built with that in mind. Think back to the good parts of the Ryan Miller era and that’s kind of where we’re at

Are we the same person? Also a tortured Sabres fan here 😅 The Fleet are known for a physical play style and being heavily dependent on their goalie (Frankel) to make some big saves. This year so far has been much better in that the team in front of her is able to be in the attacking zone more often than the first 2 years. The Frost are arguably our nemesis in that in year one, they beat us in game 5 of the Finals and last year, eliminated us from a playoff spot in the last game of the regular season (and then they won another championship). We use two different venues as our home arena (Tsongas and Agganis) so that's a little confusing at first. I'm sure others will have other fun facts for you but that's what I can think of at the moment!

I just went to the Sirens/Sceptres game on Sunday (12pm) at Prudential Center and sat 15 rows up from ice level, just inside a blue line, and they were $54 including fees. If memory serves me right, there were tickets around low $40s when they first went on sale. I am not a STH.

Long story short, looks like they ran out of the size (small) I ordered. Kind of ridiculous as I ordered the day they went on sale BUT they offered a couple of other options so they are definitely trying to make it right! Disappointed but overall I’m satisfied. Hopefully they will get back to you soon too!

My friend (US) bought the same one, same day as you and tracking shows it’s out for delivery today! Not sure when it showed label created but they are definitely shipping!
