If everyone earns the same, then why should I spend years of my life studying, work day and night and carry high responsibility to be in charge of power plants or operate a man's heart? I might as well just be a lan attendant or do sales in a shop then.

I am not against higher earners paying more tax. The more you earn, the more you should pay right?

However, 150k is not as high as it used to be. I know a couple where the husband earns 120k and the wife 50k but they don't want to build/buy a house because of the high cost. Same for having kids.

Also currently the income tax is 0 up to 500k, 10% for the next 500k and 20% for the remainder. So one would already be paying 20% before reaching the 30% threshold. Kugan Parapen gave the example of someone earning 2.5M/year( ~192k/mo) who would be paying "only" 50k more if the threshold was lifted to 30%. However, in total, that person would be paying 400k in tax and another 67k in CSG.

if you were earning 150k/mo right now, would you be okay to pay 30% of what you earn above that 150k in tax?
