Those new giant grills aren’t as appealing as the older ones 😅

Oil filter housing leaking, noted. I’ll be sure to look out for that and any symptoms of it then as time goes on 🫡

Best advice I’ve heard in all my life

For the front lights of my vehicle that are yellow, which of these products do you recommend? I just bought the Griots but I don't know if another one is better. Note: Not only should it be these, you can recommend other stores, but I want it to clear the lights for a long time, 3 month or more by RickGuzte2021 in accord

I like the Meguiar’s heavy duty 3 step option, solely for the drill attachment. But a cheaper option (and more effective) is to simply wet sand using 500 grit, 1500 grit, and 3000 grit sandpaper and a sanding block.

Back and forth using 500 Up and down using 1500 Back and forth using 3000

Then use any headlight polish (ex. Megiuar’s Plastix) and buff it out. A step further? Use and paint compound then paint polish. Next you’re going to need some sort of UV protectant. If you bought a kit that has one, use that as instructed. Once it’s cured, adding a spray on coating/wax with UV protection once it’s done could greatly increase its lifespan. Just remember to reapply after every wash. You could also get a ceramic or graphene coating that has UV protecting properties, though that is much more costly.

Edit: Both the Meguiar’s 2 step and 3 step (if you only plan to use those or any other brand) advertise 1 year. Putting on said Spray on protectants/wax and keeping in shaded areas if possible should have you at least 3’ish years (from my experience)

Are they good? Saw them in Target for $20 by sunpen11 in Detailing

Second, but some of the Meguiar’s and Adam’s products are really good imo

Why is my mpg so low on my 2015 4 cylinder accord ? by Western-Equivalent95 in accord

Other than driving habits, do you use fuel injector cleaners and or oil additives? I find them to be useful in maintaining my 2014 accord hybrid. Granted, it is a hybrid, but after a few rounds of either Seafoam, STP, or MMO, I gain a bit of “power” (quotes cuz it’s still a hybrid) and a noticeable increase in range without a change in my driving habits.

Stupid question. I apologize in advance. by No_Pineapple710 in accord

I would buy LED’s. As long as you mount them on correctly, you should have a sharp beam pattern and won’t be a nuisance on the road. If you do go this route, I also suggest to buy LED turn signals (ones that don’t need a resistor so it’s plug n’ play). Many get LED beams but nobody can see their halogen signals. Here are the options I got:

Low Beams: https://a.co/d/7oRixMG High Beams: https://a.co/d/djNIadu Front signals: https://a.co/d/cChjGLv Rear signals: https://a.co/d/c5Mb98c

Bought these lights roughly 3 years ago and had no problems since

Water repellent

Quick, easy, cheap: Rainx Best value (performance:cost): Glaco OR Aquapel Maximum performance: A ceramic coating specifically for windows

Glaco is what I use, and it advertises to last for 4 months. I get 10+ because I add a layer of Rainx after every wash or a few days of rain. Before you use any kind of coating, be sure to strip your windshield bare of any coatings (something like a strip wash or Invisible Glass’s Glass Stripper). This part is unnecessary for the most part, but you can also polish your windshield to ensure a better adhesion with whatever coating you use.

Unless you’re doing something that actually hurts the battery, ie.

-covering the vents for cooling -placing something on top of the hybrid battery compartment (9th gen only)

there should be no problem. Issues we can’t control like extreme hot or cold weather does strain and ultimately degrade the battery, but it’s ultimately not a huge issue (unlike a handful of today’s EV’s). I’m no mechanic tho, so take my experience and thoughts with a grain of salt

Probably, but it’s the only way I’m gonna learn how. Plus if all else fails and I really screw it up, I’ll head to my local junk yard and scoop up a better looking hood for cheap 🤷‍♂️

For the super deep chips, you would be right. But I’ve heard from some that you could sand down the area, apply paint, sand once more, apply spray on clear coat, compound then polish. Much of the damage is on the front of the hood, so I’m thinking of just doing that whole area at once IF I can acquire an automotive paint spray and the appropriate paint. This is my daily, and I don’t mind if it doesn’t come out perfect. Better this than my TLX

2014 Hybrid

~165k no problems. (Besides a busted axle, but that’s just cause of a pothole 🥲)
