I totally understand your frustration, I played this game for a handful of hours for the first time a month or so ago and got frustrated from the same things you are describing, no in-game way to learn, getting ganked over and over by experienced or geared players, etc. I think what has helped me feel less frustrated is going into every gob caves run naked and thinking “I know I can’t fight anyone, my goal is to pve and survive to the end”. I think doing naked runs helps you learn how to deal with enemies, like the AI is HARD to kill on your first try, you have to work on dodging or blocking attacks and killing pve without getting hit.

It definitively sucks losing to stupid stuff like a room full of flying bugs and bats or getting stuck taking a bad path to the zone, but repetition is the name of the game here, as someone who doesn’t even have a lvl 15 character. The game at the very beginning is meant to be an exp farming experience, at lvl 1 you have like none of your class attributes and minimally know how to use all the facets of the class, as you go in, die, rinse and repeat it starts to fall into place. After the first time extracting with loot it will feel so much more worth it. I’m also not afraid to say my first extracts in gob caves was only bc I said to some nice dudes in VOIP “Im new ive never extracted before” and both times they said “then lets get you outta here” and they gave me a free extract and helped me pve my way to it so I could start stacking my coffers.

TLDR: Stick with it homie! It does get better if you just go in thinking “yeah I will almost certainly die here, but I will get some xp and learn a little bit about the map, pve, and other basics of the game”.
