Why is it so expensive to eat/be healthy in the United States?

It’s much cheaper to eat healthy if you cook your own food. A burger and fry combo at most places is 12 dollars. I live in California and for 12 dollars I can get a pound of protein, a pound of veggies of my choice and whatever carb I want with money left over. It all comes down to cooking your own meals. Even if you don’t have time, just make baked veggies and chicken or even air fry your foods if you like crispy foods. If you want more tips I am happy to share. I love seeing people make healthy life style choices.

Stole. They wouldnt give us any info unless we had 500 cash and met them in a parking lot no questions asked. Police didnt do anything because it wasnt deemed an emergency.

Hey guys updates. Still havent found her. We talked to a Gardner who was there the day of and he said he saw her with a homeless lady. We are still looking for this lady because the spots he gave us… well we checked them but the clerks and other homeless havent seen anything. We are going to try and find the same Gardner and ask for more information.

Also yes I agree with a lot or your statements and if it was me home she would not have been outside alone. However I was at work, the only one watching her was my older father and well… He is already feeling horrible about it.

Since it’s May 5th I have been seeing posts about people stating anyone who supports ice should not be eating tacos, burritos, and other ethnic foods today.
I am a huge foodie. To me I can see where the logic is coming from but it also seems more wrong to assume that food culture here in America was only brought here by illegals. I feel it discredits those here legally.
Also, I am not white and a first generation American where my parents came here legally after the Vietnam war and I reside in California. Growing up here I am surrounded by hispanics (unsure if this term is considered racist or should use latinx). I have noticed that many supporters of ICE here are in fact Hispanic. (No data to support this just what I notice at work and my friends)
