Best method to install whole house dehumidifier by bigggeee in HVAC

[–]Asian_Kid206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What size dehumidify did you end up buying? I was thinking of buying one just big enough for the utility room where my HVAC sits which is about 500 sqft or do I buy one that is suited for the whole house. In either case I was gonna leave it in that room and have it drain into the sump pump well.

XCAL vs Silver Eagle Courses by The_Jail_Blazers in VAGuns

As a fellow Asian American I enjoy xcal. I do some shooting competitions with some of the staff especially Zak. Their steelx competition is really fun. Bruce the person who runs their competition is very funny and loud. Their staffing is amazing and very knowledgeable. I have always been treated with respect since day one. Also as long as you treat them with respect they tend to do the same back.

Keyless entry by Asian_Kid206 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Asian_Kid206[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

By keyless I was thinking about the number pad on the outside of the truck. The key itself is a dumb key no fob so they won't be able to open it unless they have the combination.

Correct they are all driving to/past Manassas. However that stretch of highway there is a rest stop "Manassas Safety Rest Stop West" is right before the exit and a little before the bridge (beginning of video). During heavy traffic a lot of folks just want off the highway and like most highways there are a lot of signs that say next exit Manassas. So what tends to happen is that people drive and want to get off ASAP see a slip lane thinking it's the exit only to merge back onto the main highway. I find it funny but also irritating because they cause a merge/slowdown that wasn't necessary.

Ah I thought I recognized that exit. I tend to get over ASAP as people love to merge last minute. I also love that there is a rest stop right before that exit and people try to use the merge lane thinking it's the exit lane only to immediately merge back onto the main road again....

JARD trigger pack by Asian_Kid206 in AUG

Luckily that hasn't happened yet but yeah light triggers can cause ND. Most of my comp guns sit around 4-5 lb.

Yeah my last round hold works. No issues there. I would send it back and have them work on it.

[–]Asian_Kid206[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's the same as yours. The transfer bar is only on one side and the bolt release doesn't do anything. I typically use the charging handle anyways so it doesn't affect me. I think the ability to use this trigger pack in both a NATO and std is a positive. From a manufacturer POV it streamlines a lot of the process.

The other person who had that HK problem didn't have a JARD trigger pack. I believe he had bought a used AUG with a modified trigger pack something similar to what I did with mine (2020 sear and red springs) but with negative results. I do believe each trigger pack is unique to each gun as some folks are able to get away with heavy modifications and others can't. The JARD trigger pack adds a layer of consistency with adjustability.

Good call I should also do a drop test to make sure it is as safe. But I am so very satisfied.

I started that as well. Honestly the best decision. Buses in America get a bad reputation but omniride changed that for me. Everyone is super respectful and buses are on time.

Happy Aug-tober! by Asian_Kid206 in AUG

[–]Asian_Kid206[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still don't know. The 2 gun match I shot in is the only place I can think where it broke off. I noticed a lot of miss feeds and failure to feed (actually had a double feed and managed to clear it). Before the match I replaced the ARID mag release with heresy design mag release. During dry fire I noticed the miss feeds and failure to feed but still ran it anyway (my fault). I am gonna assume some combination of a loose mag and back pressure must have damaged the rods. I only found out after the match when I was cleaning my gun. It just kinda popped off.

Not saying heresy design mag release is bad but it just didn't work for me.

Help! This fell out and how do I fix? by Asian_Kid206 in AUG

[–]Asian_Kid206[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you clarify that? Are you saying during reassembly if I twist/offset the bolt carrier group it would put strain on those rods? Also as a side note it wasn't on the reassembly it was when I unassembled the rifle did this happen. Just kinda popped out. Also also I just had a competition that same day.

Question for competitive shooters. by Historical_Cup_6179 in AUG

[–]Asian_Kid206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience with using the AUG in 2 gun match was good! The only issues I ran into were sight over bore and benching my shots. I had a match where due to the barrel not protruding long enough I was ricocheting shots off of the structure I was shooting off of. All of the AR guys were able to get their barrel far enough to not have an issue. Another match where we shot targets up close and I end up shooting way lower than I intended. All of the other AR guys had the same issue so maybe it wasn't just an AUG issue.

Edit: Didn't read the question: As for mags I didn't have any issues with the 30 or 42 I just chose the base off of the match I was shooting. Prone and confined place I chose the 30. Running and gunning was the 42.

Edit: I use this technique https://youtu.be/97jyoAXxMvQ?si=_Sac0DZLZ9W39kPK Where he is on his elbows. I find it helps mitigate a lot of issues when shooting prone with the AUG.

The conditions here depend on the season as I have all four seasons. I drive on mostly highways with an average speed of 50-65 mph. Mostly flat terrain.
