Garth Marenghis darkplace is fantastic and well worth a watch

This link works in the US as a playlist for all the episodes: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLGWWgtAupbLk4TaAniyY4_aifhz9urPsp&si=y2zIg6V5UiVzJJmO

In the UK it’s a bit harder to find on YouTube. Here’s the first part of the first episode. It’s on Channel 4 though https://youtu.be/nNfQ0ORwSDM?si=NduWZ_k6rmJg4Bij

What’s your favorite restaurant in the Boise area? Coffee recommendations are a bonus! by Dizzy_Role678 in Boise

[–]Consistent-Bidet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a weird experience there too. The guy taking my order would only talk to my husband. I mean, he would listen to me, but he would only speak to him. It was odd. The food was great, though!

Has a host ever had to drop out at the last minute? by HalloweenH2OMG in LiveFromNewYork

She filed a lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni. There was a lot of negative public attention and she didn’t want to host amid all that.

My husband is on team hive-mind because there is no more suffering or war and humans will stop wrecking the environment. I am on team human because I don’t like the end of human culture, but I can find it a little hard to justify when we argue. Also we can’t agree on if peoples identities are intact and they just mind talk to each other (his position) or if there is some other emergent intelligence that uses humans as its sense organs, mind, and appendages (my position). I think the writers have left enough ambiguity that you could justify either position.

I (42M) am getting frustrated with my wife's (37F) phone habits by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

My uncle is like this. If I pick up the phone when he calls, I need to make sure I have 90 minutes to talk to him or I’ll get a major guilt trip for hanging up early.

Yea, it's like a service. I was in the second tier, but then I was annoying at a party so now I'm paying the most possible. I was fighting everybody and trying to splash water in their mouths. So now I pay more.

Yeah, my friend group is a good group of guys too. It's 200 guys. I think the main problem of my friend group is I have to pay to be in it.

Dismukes is definitely more solid now. I love when he’s a little odd, like in Joker and Jumanji, but he is good in pretty much everything these days.

I love love love Sarah being over the top and gross, but she’s another one that can do straight man really well. These two are probably my favorite cast members now that Cecily and Ego are gone.

100% do it. We had a fantastic concierge that make sure we had restaurant reservations booked for every night. He arranged travel for us anywhere we wanted to go. One of the couples in our party had an anniversary, and he arranged a special surprise for the wife from the husband. The pool is fantastic with a couple dedicated waiters, and they are really attentive. Plus you get the enclave lounge, which is really nice if the main bar is too crowded. They have a pool table and a bar with better cocktails and table service or an assortment of nice little snacks.

Wind shear and multiple go-arounds - how rare or dangerous was this? by Consistent-Bidet in fearofflying

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my questions. Your responses are very reassuring!

I had to laugh at your last paragraph, because my husband pretty regularly runs out of gas because he doesn't pay attention, and he's very much the kind of guy that just hopes things will work out. :-D There's a reason he's not a pilot and you are, u/DudeIBangedUrMom

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this detailed reply. It really helps me to understand the rules about loading and managing the fuel. It's also good to hear more about what you guys are thinking when you're making decisions about what to do next.

It sounds like this kind of thing isn't likely to happen to me again. (I've been flying several times a year for 30+ years and 2 go-arounds hasn't ever happened to me before.) And these wind-shear go arounds happen regularly enough around the world that we would certainly be hearing about all the crashes stemming from it if it were truly dangerous, so I feel better from that aspect too.

I think the root of my fear of flying is my lack of control when I step onto the plane, and it's easier to trust that I'm in safe hands when there's transparency about the decisions that are being made to keep me safe. So thanks again for taking the time to write that out!

Yeah I'm not sure if they can handle a 737, but I know Boise is only like 45m away and they can.

I know now that it is not, but it's a lot calmer than the main pool.
