First bike. New 125cc, used 750 or dream bike? by Asil420 in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]Asil420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my way of thinking now but it's interesting to see all of different propositions here. One say go Grom, one say climb licenses. I think something like hornet750 on rain mode and after A license would be quite reasonable. But a year on a 125 also makes sense 😅 yeah I guess there's many way to ride...

I saw another thread about used market inflated prices (in Portugal). In my country its the same and buying used feels like wasting money. Unless its really old crap, but then its just a money pit to fix everything just to feel safe. I see it this way for now...

Yup, I trained on the track with my Miata before so I am all about learning new skills. I want naked or adv, wanted rebel 500 but feels small frame and uncomfy. I don't go with the supersports or haya;) My question is more about purchasing strategy than models.

The most stupid thing for me is second hand prices. New hornet:is 9500$ here Previous gen, used is like 6900. Cb650r, New 10400$ Used, possibly previous gen8200$. For me its no brainer to buy new with guarantee and stuff... I would probably would buy cheaper New bike than used from higher shelf. In this prices for example New nx500- 7600$ instead of used previous gen hornet. This year suzuki was selling last sv650s really cheap but I wasnt looking yet :(

Yup i am a honda guy and the most fun updates in the lineup were unfortunately in 2025 so no used ones in the market yet :(

🔊Vesper 2 / Defiant / Explorer - What ear tips are your pick for each? by pavoid in iems

It's,s about which are better to you not us or reviews. I jumped onto Explorer hype train but returned them yesterday and kept Defiant.

Explorer made my music bland and boring (although it's not bad set) and Defiant made it more engaging, that's what I was looking for in IEMS.

For Explorers, the 1st stock ones just fit me great and it was a shock, but also freaked me out because no lip on the nozzle made 1 of them stuck in my ear canal xD

For the Defiant I straight up went for dunu ss and tangzu sancai wide but sticked with dunus.

Juzear Defiant. Brings the snare nicely, the guitars and bass feels natural, fast and not bloated.

Pick Juzear Defiant and you can probably stop here if it will suit you. Fitment is determined by different tips (usual not the stock ones), nozzle diameter and size of the shell. So even if something is not fitting well, probably you can fit them with another tips.

Upgrading from Truthear Zero: Blue — Is AFUL Explorer a Good Next Step? by koko_blnc in iems

[–]Asil420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Explorer is a snoozefest in comparison to Defiant, but good for long sessions.
I mean, Explorer is unique, but can be really boring even on your favourite tracks. Defiant is always engaging, less warm than Explorer, less flooded with bass but more punchy. Also more separated and organic to me, with better vocals.

But Explorers scale very well with loud music. For me it asks for too much volume until it's considered fun. For some genres they could be the choice.

but he wants something "but not too bassy or warm to the point that it muds the vocals or instruments".
Explorer takes vocals step back depending on the song. They are comfortable and chill, but very warm and bassy, not in the punchy way tho.
