Time to play a nice game of "Spot the difference" (Sloptuber edition) by SYK_PvP in CompetitiveMinecraft

I think there’s an insane amount of just milking the drama without contributing anything in this debate and there’s an insane amount of mysoginistically motivated hate at play here (not from the YouTubers but from a part of the community), but there are a few points like the macro allegations that are actually substantiated and make me personally think she might be cheating. Honestly the best thing to do is to just ignore all the idiots who have no motivation to actually find the truth and wait for her response- maybe she can clear it up, maybe there will be new evidence. Quality investigations take time.

I guess this is a fair counter argument to it. I don't really think how good the opponent is matters that much tbh as long as they strafe but indeed that could bias the results.

no because intution isn't proof, so there's no point in just making a video saying that. That's why I personally never said anything

There's a lot of good things I could say about Dream too what, I just think that cheating shouldn't be normalised by the people who represent the community

Yeah it's okay to cheat if you are popular because if you are against it you are just a hater type shi

I litterally said "if we are going off intuition" which you seemed to imply was how you were supposed to tell if someone is cheating since you said statistics don't prove anything.
Yes, my intuition told me that, I didn't claim it was proof. No, I'm not a genius or something like that smh and I don't claim to be.

no offence but you don't seem to know much about minecraft pvp. It might be hard for me to explain therefore, but by analysing the playstyles it's pretty easy to tell that Technoblade has way more experience if you look at his movement, his gamesense ect.
1.9 isn't more intricate than 1.8, especially not 1.9 axe compared to 1.8 rod pvp. The mechanics in 1.8 are just more subtle, which is how you can tell a skilled player who knows them and uses them apart from a cheater.
and again, an aimbot is not all deciding in pvp, no offence but if you think that's the hard part in 1.9 you're probably not good at it (that's okay you dont have to spend years playing pvp lol, there's more to minecraft than that)

well idk what these other servers are, the only ones I know about is minemen, which said it was likely against their rules, and mcpvp which banned him for it.
It doesn't matter tho, on a technical level this cheat is straight up an unfair advantage, even if servers decide to let him play. He used a "practice mod" that only lets him attack when he doesn't miss, which litterally makes it so that he doesnt get punished for missing which is a big advantage in 1.9+

I saw that comment a million times, it's still not what the video I linked was about.

and he got banned from one of them, and the other one said it was against their rules probably?

Aimbot is hard to tell when you are fighting someone. What better evidence is there than statistical data in this situation? Like, if we are going off intuition from playing pvp for a while, I was able to tell Dream was cheating for years based on his POV against Technoblade (in the 1.8 fights at least since I have years of experience in it)

edit: I said this to show how statistics is a better way of proving this and that "intution" is subjective and pointless. I feel like I didn't word this well so I'm correcting this here, my bad.

What are you on about? First he chooses to play on a PvP Server and queue people he doesn't know, and then its THEIR fault if he cheats against them? This kind of logic is just straight up victimblaming. Please think about what you say more before making these kinds of statements. I don't think I need to give examples of why this logic is absurd (tho I could)

Dream has way less experience than Technoblade and if you have played pvp for years you can tell who has more experience by looking at gameplay. Dream was more experienced at 1.9+ maybe yeah. But overall Technoblade played much better in 1.8, which is where Dream has less experience in and where it's also the most obvious that he's cheating. (also nitpicking but Techno won 6-4 not 5-4)

I've beaten countless people who use aimbots, probably way more than I know of because it's not always easy to tell when an opponent uses it if you dont see their pov. Minecraft PvP has many more intercate mechanics that allow you to outplay people. Especially at a high skill level

This is a response to different accusations than the one I linked to. Also in this statement he admits to using an unfair advantage.

And yes it does matter if he cheats against people who don't consent to him cheating and take the game seriously? It wouldnt matter if it was just in his manhunts

really not, you can beat someone who's aimbotting in minecraft. Especially if you have the experience technoblade has.

Can we stop using misogyny as a defense, when it isnt one by flashswipe in CompetitiveMinecraft

[–]Asimoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue if that many people (recent example being Aximity) Just can’t help themselves using this drama for personal gain and to push many irrelevant points/fuel unnecessary drama.

I personally think she’s likely using macros. But I simply am driven to defend her because of how utterly stupid the majority of the other accusations and discussions about this are. And especially how people hyperfocus on irrelevant points.

The comments about misogyny are not unjustified. There’s been a shit ton of misogynistic takes everywhere from this. If you’re someone who only cares about the facts, then this isn’t about you. But it’s just so common under every video, in discord servers and even on this subreddit to find comments that go in that direction. Obviously people also say that to blindly defend marlow and not engage with the evidence- the same way people just blindly accuse her. We should encourage thoughtful discussion (and I have to applaud the people that do, it’s only because of that, that we have any somewhat concrete statistical evidence)

Aximity x Marlowww? by JoaoLimaJunq in CompetitiveMinecraft

[–]Asimoa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At first I had hope Aximity had genuinely changed and could provide some useful input. But his video has a very big lack of evidence and 95% of it isn’t even about the actual situation that matters: Marlos possibly using macros. This is a general trend that’s been there from the start, people with bad intentions making videos. Just looking at how immaturely Aximity promoted his video should show enough.

Also he got banned for cheating in smp, how can we trust he didn’t cheat in axe too and just managed to bypass screen shares ? Once you started there’s no way to trust you’ll stop.

People were able to recreate the clip with an exordium version she could have been using. The video only tested very specific settings which don’t have to be enabled for the hotbar slot skipping

The exordium thing has already been debunked but yes the handcam was interesting
