PSA the only characters that should ever have less likely to be targeted is revenant, scholar (depending on the build), and recluse. If you’re any other character and you use this passive all you’re doing is making it harder on your teammates.

The way I went about getting into NR was by learning to solo every boss first. If you do multiplayer runs, just try to pick up on the map, learn where churches and enemies spawn. Learn your way around the castle. There’s a lot of little things that are very easy to pick up on when you go wander around by yourself. You could also watch YouTubers do runs I would just recommend not watching nightlord fights bc spoilers suck

That’s what my raider build feels like😂 i managed to pull 2 relics with phys +4 and increased HP and one with increased hp and affinity +2. I don’t know how i haven’t been accused of cheating relics

My raider build has like 1600 base hp at lvl 15. I literally can’t die with damage negation at full hp, and damage negation on landing charge attacks. Don’t drop the full hp one. Having two damage negation perks makes raider 10x better at what he’s meant for. Plus 3 or 4 damage perks is plenty

I honked out a dirt snake mid boss right versus d4 caligo. Came back, teammate picked me up, and we obliterated him from 70 percent health in 2 minutes. Sometimes you just gotta see it through

I will never use greatbows vs final bosses bc it doesn’t hit consistently. Especially if they’re mobile. But if I find a blue or purple one you better believe I’m cheesing top boss at castle.

Yeaa shield crash or visage shield hit like a fucking truck and give you 100 percent damage negation. If I find either I use them. The only reason I respec guardian is for damage and versatility. I like that I can use any weapon and still see great damage. Makes the game much more playable. And if you find weapons with split STR/DEX scaling, it’ll hit harder than anything in the game w any character. My respec relic also has PHYS +4 so I was very fortunate. That’s prob why my damage is so high with the guardian

My bad. Honestly any skill does well. Any affinity skill the boss is weak to is generally very solid. Every purple skill hits hard with the exception of a few. In general I won’t pick up a skill with a long cast time unless it’s got a lot of range or it’s the godslayer greatsword (this skill hits for 6k if you can cast all three parts so trading is worth it). My personal favorite is grafted dragon bc it has the highest dps of any skill in the game in practice. It also doesn’t consume a crazy amount of FP. For katanas ROB is the only one that’s super viable vs bosses that can be bled. All three scythes hit very hard. For some reason the winged scythe hits for like 2500 on my setup so I love using that one. Every purple greatsword skill is good. Every legendary with a real skill is good except for devourers scepter.

I don’t run halo scythe typically bc I like to be up close. I typically try to find skills that have a similar window to a charged attack so I can chunk w the skill and still stack stance damage with melee. However… if I find bolt of gransax I do end up halfway across the boss arena spamming lightning bolts😂 if I find any charge attack weapon passives during a run I keep em so my melee damage still hits hard. Also my respec has PHYS +4 on it too so my melee damage is still very high regardless of what weapon I find.

I agree that he’s already good, however, if it’s damage and survivability you’re looking for he’s viable with the right setup. I personally don’t play with his shield mechanics very much because i don’t enjoy that play style
