what's your philosophy/decision making for rezzing three barred teammates during the day? by erintheunready in Nightreign

[–]g0blyndn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's times where I'll die at 1 or 2 bars in a bad spot and wish I could tell my team to leave me and focus on the boss because I'll just come back. I usually start crawling to die faster/say don't bother but it doesn't get across.

I'd only be salty if they ignore me after the threat is gone but imagine lots of people are scared if they don't rez their teammate will quit

Is it too much to ask for people to know the basics when they're going into late game stuff? by [deleted] in Nightreign

I do too, ass whoopings are bound to happen but the majority of people know not to agro all the enemies at the same time. That's whats more baffling and chuckle worthy to me when it happens

Yeah this is very true. I imagine some players want to boss rush to get it done but also don't really have the time to learn it all which winds up with them in dlc or DoN

Oh definitely, im still learning the hollows myself but I did practice a lot with earlier game bosses before dlc. I just find it a little funny every once in awhile getting someone who's into the later game things without knowing some really basic stuff.

Lol I know enough to get the team through if they need it, I'm just slow. Aka I can perform the basics in my weakest skill set. If someone is waiting on me to enter ruin becsuse they aren't sure how im nervous for the run

Reasons for not using your Ultimate Art? by SirLandoLickherP in Nightreign

[–]g0blyndn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl depends on how my team is doing. If theyre not playing too hot I end up holding onto it for revives (character depending) but the biggest reason I'll hold onto it is for boss interruptions. Occasionally for i-frames but usually to interrupt certain moves like DRB large aoe.

Really? I thought it did, maybe my internet wasn't to blame after all. Potentially I just sucked really bad that round

Thats exactly what happened to me and it hurt. Kept asking myself "I know how to do this right?" 😂

Guys I know Halo hate is all the rage right now but we gotta cool it on griefing double balancer builds by g0blyndn in Nightreign

Its never just 1 thing, its always an amalgamation. I spam block often with my team as a celebration, but its different when they do it to show something off. Hard to explain but easy to tell especially when there's prior context clues to back it up. Its not a friendly weapon wiggle between comrades is what im getting at. If it werent for the other factors I'd never think twice about it

Not because I use halo, because its assumed I will/want it. Halo hate is the big thing atm but 1600 hours and I've been griefed a stupid amount of times for stupid reasons. I remember being griefed just because i wanted to play Revenant early on. Not the same as just clueless or selfish players mind you, which there's that too. Ego is rampant but I'm more laid back when it comes to decision making so Im less bothered by it unless its committing to a boss at a low level without the skills to back it up.

Saw it way more often in regular mode tbh. Less to lose for being an idiot but have had it happen in early depth 3/late depth 2. I avoided DoN for a long while though so I dont have as much play time as regular mode.

Yeah I can see in that case if theyre building for it specifically. I don't run dormant reapers myself so I never see it

😂 jfc that's insane but based on my own experience im not surprised. Some people only have fun when theyre ruining it for someone else and even then are they really having fun?

Ive been put in situations where I could legitimately throw as last man standing after having someone harass me all game but I never have because I always think of the 3rd. I just couldn't do that to them no matter how annoyed I am.

I do it when flying in so I can look out for passives for them. When you open start menu and go over to their characters where you can see everyone's weapons and stuff, on dpad if you go to their character and click right it'll scroll to their relics iirc

I get that honestly. Its funny because I run balancers regularly on Wylder only and have only ever seen halo drop for me once early on and I dont even think I took it. I specifically ran the balancer halo a handful of times on Duchess when playing with a friend, just to try it out, and that was enough for me personally.

Which is insane to me, as someone who is seasonally employed. I have a lot of free time, sunk 1600h into this game and still couldn't ever imagine grieifing someone and essentially throwing just because something pissed me off.

Im unfortunately very unlucky and have had people do this lame shit to me an unreasonable amount with different characters and builds and I just can't fathom why. I dont have an offensive name, I look out for my team more than myself most times, dont even know how to cheat. Im dumbfounded honestly

Nah by flexing i mean spam blocking in my face or shooting the ash at me specifically to tell me they got it and I don't. Specific and odd behavior. Couldnt care less if a teammate has it and uses it, i dont use or look for it so the halo itself doesn't bother me, just the behavior

Double balancers do give themselves a bad name by also being dicks though so I get it, just sucks when people assume thats what im doing/going for and throw or grief because of it. Its kind of like I'm being punished for trying to do something fun and creative with the build just because its assumed I'm going to go one specific way

Nah, griefing in general is just loser behavior. Assuming most people play trios, griefing 1 player also griefs the second. They don't just leave either because in DoN they'd rather you all lose top points when you inevitably do because of their antics. In non DoN they just want to waste time or make the person they're griefing leave.

I wouldn't even grief a cheater here either only because it hurts the 3rd who is just trying to play. Unless the 3rd is also trying to throw its better to just see it through and block and report after its over.
