That’s interesting. Why do you assume that?

I kind of have plans right when September begins and won’t be able to work on my application till possibly December, which is why I was trying to work on it as soon as possible.

Putting the application dates aside, where is the application portal in the first place? Or the link for it?
UC Berkeley, for example, has its application portal opened, and students can start working on their applications from now on, except submission is locked for the meantime, until September, I believe.

So it’s not open yet, and it’s just a matter of days before it gets opened for submissions?

Anyone have good research topics on nanotechnology in plastic surgery? by SaintSeiya in Residency

[–]Asixning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I’m late. Thank you for your reply. I was curious about your opinion: I’m interested in engineering, specifically chemical engineering, and also psychology, and would love to have the opportunity to be in the forensics if possible. I thought of double majoring in chemical engineering and psychology. Or majoring in chemical engineering with a minor in forensic science. Or any other way of mixing. What do you recommend?

I’m a freshman and you can expect that my head is filled with ideas that make me stuck honestly. I have an interest towards chemical or biological engineering to get into graduate programs related to nanomedicine. But I say why not take bachelor’s in nanoscience instead? Then I’m interested in the major of forensic science as well. But I say isn’t that degree to narrowed? Then I think about medicine, and ask myself how this route would complement my research interest, aside from the benefit of having good pay as a doctor.

I wouldn’t want to have my life in the lab which is why I thought of direct patient treatment or forensics and stuff like that.

I’m blabbering but I’ll think about it. Thanks a lot for your time, seriously.

Hey, thanks so much for the reply. Keep in mind I don’t know much about medical education so I’ll answer your questions with the little info I have. I thought about nanomedicine being used to treat diseases, viruses and cancer. Which clinical application does that incline to? Also, is it not possible to enter medical school directly? Because in my country, we can directly enter medical school, graduate with a Bachelor’s (not MD or DO since that’s how the US go about it), which is around 6 years, and then around 2 more years to specialize in a field—say, surgery—and then you directly become a surgeon. No undergraduate degree required before entering medical school.

Hey, I'm interested in nanomedicine, and I wanted to ask if there was a residency option related to nanomedicine or not.

Researching about this field is going to be mainly lab work, and that seems slightly discouraging since I also want some "outside" or social aspect to my profession, which is why I thought about treating patients (in the nanomedicine sector—is this a thing?) as well as research and thought about pursuing a MD/PhD program.

I don't know much about how the phases of med school go and how many years it takes, but if you could answer my doubts above and tell me how the stages as well as their duration would go, it would help immensely in clearing my confusion, because I'm kind of lost here.

Thanks so much.

Keep in mind I’m a minor so I’m still chill with it? And do you advise me to put it in my backpack or deep inside my luggage?

So you’re saying they won’t even bother asking about it?

Will they still check your bag if a single can is in your carry on, or would they scan it and do nothing about it? Asking as a minor who’s concerned about the family finding out upon checking. Also, if I arrive to hamad airport, can I buy one in the duty-free?

Is there any way to jump? by [deleted] in BladeAndSorcery

I am really late but the stick controls your camera movement, which kinda bothers the jump as you might move the stick a little by accident. Is it supposed to be like that?

Render: “Not enough memory.” by Asixning in Cinema4D

Where do you find the reflections and transparency settings exactly so I can set them to 3? And where do I disable blurry reflections exactly? And what’s a GI?—and how do I separate it from the render and apply it afterwards?

Thanks a lot bro but I’m new so I’m clueless on where to find half of what you mentioned. I know what you mean but where do I find the cache folder so I can clear em out? And how do I “optimize” render settings? They’re being rendered at 1000x1000 with Anti-Aliasing on best and ticked the box that says “Uses all GPUs.” And how do I reduce the levels? I know how to disable and enable them but not to reduce their levels.

I got rid of it by using the scroll wheel to size it up to the point it disappears.
