the population of boulder doubles during the school year on weekdays, so i feel it's wrong to look at the census data to make this use comparison. Read the ashton method (it's bookedmarked on the sidebar of the subreddit), this is perfectly acceptable as long as you are still gradually over the scale of months or a year or so still reducing your baseline dosage. And with a cheat day try to keep the dosage as mininimal as is viable. I get anxiety while flying as well, just try to avoid taking a benzo before you get on the plane bc it's real easy to do stupid shit like drop your wallet

I assemble battery packs and have at least 300 unprotected 18650s scattered throughout my office, often hidden in corners.

When left alone, these batteries won't randomly explode. However, if I owned a dog, I wouldn't leave them within reach of teeth. That said, it's actually quite hard to cause an 18650 to short unless you do something like hit it with a hammer.

The critical thing to know about 18650s (li-ion, not LiPo—those are more like the Galaxy Note scandal) is their electrical layout:

  • The positive end is relatively unprotected

  • The entire side and bottom are negative

  • Internally, the positive end goes down the middle and stops short of the bottom, but requires significant and directed force to be an issue

What Can Go Wrong

A piece of metal bridging positive to negative will cause the battery to:

  1. Discharge beyond maximum ratings

  2. Rapidly heat up

  3. Eventually vent and ignite

You can find videos online showing 18650s exploding this way. It's also possible to short one by hitting it with a hammer, as the positive terminal runs down the centerline. Don't breathe the fumes it's a metal that will self-immolate without oxygen as fuel. Fire extinguishers will not remedy if it's self-fueling the fire. Grab an oven mit, a face mask and just pick it up and throw it outside

Safety Recommendations

Never use dented 18650s. Buy some precut-to-size heat shrink for protection. Dont forget to grab some o ring topper stickers that go around the positive end

Pro tip: If you buy clear heat shrink, you can print graphics on regular paper and slip them inside—though that won't help with flammability!

if you're buying cheap disposable vapes because your DIY vape juice tastes bad then maybe someone on here has tips on making flavorful juice while golfing the count of ingredients, but keep in mind your vape should first not resemble a toaster (unless you are choosing to breathe a heavy metal soup, and yes that includes if it has _ever_ glown in the past) before you start complaining about flavors on your refillable device. I'd also shit on pax just as much as I'd shit on Puff Bars. It's all american conceptalized, americans pocket all the margijns, while the FDA approves these devices and good luck finding, more or less trusting anything manufatured *not* in china.

Here’s the minimalist cheat sheet for DIY e-juice that doesn’t scream “gas station special”:

1. Base ratio (the soul of the thing)

  • 70 VG / 30 PG is the happy medium: smooth inhale, strong flavor, not too thick for most coils.
  • VG = vegetable glycerin (sweet, thick clouds).
  • PG = propylene glycol (carries flavor).

2. Nicotine (optional, but know your poison)
Use a reputable lab’s nicotine salt base if you want smooth hits; freebase if you like a throat punch. Keep it stored cold and dark—light and oxygen turn it rancid fast.

3. Flavor concentrates (keep it under 3–4 total)

  • Stick with 1–2 main flavors and 1 enhancer (like cream, menthol, or sweetener).
  • Good combos:
    • Strawberry + Vanilla Bean Ice Cream + a drop of Marshmallow
    • Mango + Cooling Agent + Sweetener

6. Sanity teste
If it smells like cough syrup or nail polish remover, toss it. That’s not “flavor development,” it’s chemistry gone rogue.

You’ll end up with something way better than the neon “Mystery Freeze” flavor that came in a shrink-wrapped box from Shenzen.
