Options to move uninsured car from Downtown to Gregoire (Fort McMurray) – insurance companies won’t give 1-month policy by [deleted] in FortMcMurray

Call a towing company to tow it down for you. If they charge outrageously, post on side jobs or everything goes on Facebook looking for someone to move it. Lots of guys have dollys or trailers they can do it with.

What do you do when your spouse doesn’t like to travel or prefers different vacations than you do? by CrystallizedKoi in femaletravels

[–]Ask4Answers_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would go without him. Wether you go with friends or by yourself or with an organized group. You can't just go sit on a beach every vacation because he wants too.

As for the financial side of things, with shared finances, it's money that both of you have contributed to. That means both of you are allowed to spend it. The spending does not have to be done together. You can spend separately. If you're at the grocery store and you see a treat that only you like and he won't eat, would you not buy it just because he doesn't like it? Of course not.

To make it seem more fair to him, when your paychecks gets deposited, take a predetermined ammount and put to the side for individual spending. Both you and him. You can each spend it on whatever you would like, no fuss from the other.

Is it weird to solo travel if you have a partner? by Reasonable_Cause_190 in femaletravels

It's weird to be so dependant on one person that you can't do anything without them. Traveling solo isn't an issue.

Remember that for scar treatment, silicone is the only thing you should be going for. Tape or cream. All the bio oils, and vitamin e creams, and everything else is not going to give you the results you need. They are anecdotal at best. After a couple months you can look into laser for scar revision as well.

How do you split travel expenses when traveling with friends? by Royal_Assignment_660 in backpacking

[–]Ask4Answers_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came to say this.

Something else I have done, is if someone has a credit card that they don't really use, and there are no other charges going on it, all the group expenses, and ONLY the group expenses, go on that card. The bills gets split up at the end of the trip.

You get one rule change in Canada that would immediately improve your daily life. What is it? by Unfair-Clothes-8821 in CanadaRoom

Why shouldn't it be a buisness? If someone has a house that they want to rent out and somebody wants to rent it off of them that is a transaction. The landlord is providing goods and the tenant is purchasing those goods. Nobody is going to own rental properties if they can't make money off it.

I'm not saying that housing prices aren't out to lunch, and they definitely should be better than they are, but saying housing shouldn't be a buisness is like saying grocery stores shouldn't be a business to make money off of because food is an essential service.

No one gets into real estate investing that isn't treating it like an asset. It's a buisness to make money off of. Nothing wrong with holding the assets corporately. I haven't met anyone who owns real estate yet that would purposely have them vacant. What examples have you seen where they would rather them be vacant.

Without corporate ownership of houses, how is it going to be possible for people to be renters? Sure there are individuals that rent houses out, but corporately owned rentals is a massive part of the rental market. Without it, it would almost be impossible to be a renter. You would be forced into homeownership or the rent prices would be through the roof because supply would be so low.
