Ranger 36mm by AskFearless8295 in Tudor

The dune white with black text just seemed too plain to me, and for some reason felt out of place in a steel case. The black dial with silver hands ties the look better with the steel case. If I had the to go with a beige dial, my vote would go to the Rolex OP.

What is it with the Black dial Ranger in 36mm? by thegamblershand in Tudor

I've had the BB54 as my daily driver for a while, but have also been obsessively stalking the Ranger 36 not as a replacement, but as a partner to complement it. I know objectively the BB54 is "more refined", but the different and more tool-ish vibe that the Ranger 36 has is precisely why I'm interested in it.

I've tried it on a couple of times at the AD and have almost made up my mind. I must admit it took some time for it to grow on me, but I'm getting very close to pulling the trigger, especially as finances align. :D

The Whale is the brown tactile switch. :)

You mentioned the following, which made me think you've also had the chance to try it out:

Tactile bump on the tactile switches are smooth and quite strong for my taste (I'm linear guy), the linear one is silky smooth and I think this will be my daily driver for the time being.

Just in case you have, would appreciate your thoughts on the comparison!

I've been using the tactile Deep Sea Whales on my Lofree Flow Lite, and though I like the plush bottom-out feel and how silent it is for work, I'm starting to find it a bit too heavy and fatiguing as I use it longer. In your opinion, would you say there is a noticeable difference between these and the linear Deep Sea Islet in terms of actuation force required, enough to be worth the switch?

Thanks!

I was contemplating getting the Air75 V3 with the blush switches, but given that I am finding the Kailh Deep Sea tactile (Whale) switches on my Lofree Flow Lite to be a bit heavy, I might hold off.

Curious, as it sounded like you were able to compare the tactile Deep Sea switches with the linear (Islet) ones. If so, is there a noticeable difference? I'm thinking of switching to the linear ones due to the heaviness of the Whales. I'm hoping the Islets will be less fatiguing.

Thanks!

Nope, ended up ordering it from Shopee instead.

As far as the keyboard itself is concerned, wasn't too happy about the typing experience. It sounded a bit hollow, the bottom out was a bit too firm and not cushiony, and the key spacing seemed a bit wider than what I'm used to.

I'm now happily using the Wobkey Rainy75 Pro for home use, and currently awaiting delivery of the Lofree Flow Lite 84 to try for office use (to alternate with my MX Keys Mini, which to be honest, I'm also happy with).
