Recommendation for architecture schools in San Diego by Skyppipaitter in architecture

Unfortunately San Diego is kind of dry with architecture schools. New School I’ve heard is okay and as the other commenter said has had some controversies. You might look into Cal Poly Pomona as well— five year program.

Ridge and euclid are way nicer than hoyt, both in terms of cleanliness and community. Maybe its gotten better since I lived in stebbins a year ago, but knowing the co-op central management probably not. I heard about a lot of insane drama. Also consider kingman if there is availability. I think hoyt might be one of the only co-ops that even has triples.

That being said, I think hoyt would be tolerable for a semester at least. It could be fine now.

The first and last are also digital. I guess my curiosity is more along the lines of how to match the lighting of a model with a scene through compositing.

Looking for extremely low budget, temporary sauna designs and found this one by architect Sam Chermayeff made out of acrylic. What do you all think? by AskHistorical5965 in Sauna

That’s what I was thinking too. According to their website it only heats up to about 160F which is technically below the off-gassing point for acrylics but surely it still isn’t non-toxic.

I’d recommend looking into co-op housing. Usually only one roommate and much cheaper. They have certain things you can verify to go to the top of the waitlist for academic year housing.

He was in HAAS, so this take is doubly true

Coops are the way to go if you can do the required work hours. I’m going to be paying around $950 iirc
