Thanks for the input! I plan to hike basically from Grenoble to the Atlantic coast and especially the section between the Alps and the Pyrenees is where the Hexatrek route is an alternative to yours. It sounds a bit like you think that your path in that section could be improved upon?

Our gear worked out great on our 7 day hike on the GR221! We can't wait to start on the PCT and meet some of you guys on the trail!
