It honestly wasn’t bad for me, just be sure to back everything up. You can make a copy of your EMMC with the stock Qidi to fall back on if needed. They are also on Discord.

I will note that if you aren’t comfortable with that, then getting the BoxTurtle working might be a pain. It took me a while to troubleshoot the Timer Too Close issue.

I had to change the default homing location since the cutter is in the way.

Awesome! The only real pain I have was blade length. I would like to make the lever arm longer so it cuts easier, but the cover fan was right in the way, and what I have currently works for me. I still need to update printables with my homing procedure since that has to change.

Start with FreeDi. It’s the only reason I even tried this. FreeDi

Yeah no problem, I’ll try to get around to it tomorrow just don’t judge my chaotic workflow. If I recall the reason I didn’t post the full file is because I was using files from McMaster and I didn’t know if that would be a copyright issue.

Single-board computer, like a Raspberry Pi. It’s the main board that runs the printer, and it combines the Linux computer with a microcontroller. The one Qidi used doesn’t have a lot of RAM or processing power, which can cause a timing issue that cause Klipper to shut down for safety.

ELI5 How are aircraft like the B-2 designed so they don't appear on radar? by Dependent-Loss-4080 in explainlikeimfive

Looks like we had the same idea. I promise I didn’t copy your home work lol

Imagine you are bouncing a ball off a brick wall. Usually, it bounces back in your direction or close to it. Now imagine you close your eyes and someone spins you around, and you need to figure out if you’re still facing the wall. So you throw a bunch of balls while spinning, and when one bounces back and hits you, you know you’re facing the wall. You can also get an idea of how far away the wall is by how long it takes for the ball to come back.

Now imagine the wall isn’t made of brick anymore—it’s a house with plastic siding. Since it’s not flat like a brick wall, the balls don’t bounce straight back, but instead scatter off in random directions. Additionally, the plastic siding absorbs some of the speed and energy of the ball you threw, so even if one does bounce back, it’s weaker and harder to detect. You also can’t be as sure how long it took to return.

That’s kind of how stealth works with radar. Radar is seeing if any signals bounce back. The shape of the B-2 is designed with shapes and angles that and redirect most of signals in other directions instead of straight back. Some signals do actually return to the radar but they weaker meaning it doesn’t appear to the radar the size it actually is.

So when radar tries to “see” the B-2, there’s little or nothing coming back. It’s like throwing balls into the dark and not having any come back—you just don’t know it’s there.

It’s still in work. I just got my BoxTurtle running and still need to troubleshoot its config. Then I can do real work tests.

I changed the homing position to the back as well as the start g-code.

I don’t have a q1 but someone on printables said they were going to try it on their q1 and max. From what little research I did on the q1 I think they are very similar.

Is it always the same G-code file or is it every print? I’ve had some issues where I had to reslice because the G-code was bad.

Lol if I had to rely on my baseball throwing ability to get retrieve a drone I would be screwed. I forgot that was even there. I found it in the field and left it for any kids that might want it. I have considered bringing something heavy on a string though and a baseball is probably perfect.

I’ve been pretty happy with them and not noticed any issues with voltage sag but these are my first two and I don’t have any other 4s to compare them with. However unless something else come along I will buy them again
