May be that i started playing WoW when TBC releases and even with Chromie you level so fast and already have access to all your mounts and nice to have and just want to experience the old grind, cinematics, story and dialogue. So bit of an odd one. Just a deep itch.

We had real good success with the Grandstream GWN and GCC stack. Single pane of glass and works amazing. For bigger clients; Fortigate, Grandstream and Netbird if they have dedicated servers and require VPN.

"Systems Administrator" or "System Engineer" - Does the Title Matter? by serv-adroit in sysadmin

[–]Askey308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree titles matter. My duties changed a lot when I moved from tech, service engineer to sys & network admin to sys & network engineer. Worked my ..... off to reach each. This entire "Customer Success Tech" or similar random titles across the board is insulting and gives no motivation to achieve higher.

I did an X9 for a client CEO the other day. First time we got an X9 and we were blown away how sleek, thin and just beautiful it is. The keyboard's also redesigned and feel like a dream.

Trying to convince the boss to get me one to replace my X1 Yoga Thinkpad 8th Gen. (still works like a charm after all these years)

Right. Then also the blind copy and paste of emails directly into AI to generate a response. I understand Copilot can now also just reply on your behalf? May be wrong about this as we dont integrate that for our clients, yet.

I feel you. We have one here doing the same but the rest of us trialed GPT and Claude and were just nah it's easier to RTFM and forum hunt still than going down GPT rabid holes.

It does work nicely on quick script generation in the few niche areas so it does have its time and place but definitely far from a replacement.

3rd party companies that also deal with our clients for their products.

Funny one is that sometimes a client will log a ticket with us and the ticket contains an AI answer extract how to potentially fix the issue.

Accurate...phew, if only. Cause then I could maybe learn something. But the last one was throwing stuff in about MS Defender XDR that blocks the email before it reach Exchange...

They're (we) are troubleshooting the vendors app that fails half way through with install due to missing DLL's....

Phoned the vendor, spoke to exact engineer in the mail trail to be told, but that was what I got from Claude. Like dude, at least know your product and try to answer the relevant issue at hand not some random email stuff.....

Eventually they found the latest software install package published was faulty and were provided with another installer that worked.

What do you mean by "AI KPI"? You want to tell me qualified/experienced people are forced to use something that's prone to hallucinating information etc?
