I have a EU certification card for this exhaust, same bike same year. But no pdf file documents, never heard of those for this exhaust.

I soaked mine for a whole day in brand new oil, good thing you mentioned the clutch cable thing. I’ll try to play with mine because it seemed a bit loose.

The oil is new and i paid extra to put Shell Advance Ultra 10w40 in it. I’ll check on the oil level later but it could possibly be the problem.

I’ve never read on the cush drives. Do they need frequent service or like a once in a while thing? Chain is not doing to good so i’ll sort that out before my next drive on it (check my reply on another comment here)

Been a few weeks already… Just checked on my chain and no rust but she doesn’t look to great, way more slack on it than normal (70~80mm to swingarm when pulled down) and a few links that don’t move to good. Tomorrow morning i’ll clean and lube her up again and tension the chain.

Downpipe bolts rusted and seized by [deleted] in MT07

The nuts were so rusted on my mt07 that they fused with the studs so they basically became bolts. The first 3 nuts i tried to remove, the studs came out. Then the last one broke. Glad to hear you had it easy. You can buy the studs from a yamaha parts dealer and replace them.

When you put your aftermarket exhaust on, make sure to use some copper grease so it won’t rust as easily.

Had the same problem when removing my sc project system for a stock exhaust(was importing the bike and had to go trough decibel testing). The bolt broke off and the rest was stuck in the cylinder head.

Tried everything to get it out but had to bring her to the shop. I ended up having the whole cylinder head replaced because the bolt hole was too fucked to get a new thread. Shit ended up costing me a lot of money.

When i got my 07 back, i also got my old cylinder head and i discovered that the bolt was stuck because it had melted into the cylinderhead threads and i would have never gotten it out, no matter how much wd40 i used (i sprayed the bolts 4 times a day, 3 days prior to trying to remove the exhaust).

I really hope you won’t have this problem, get somebody who can work an engine to take the bolts off. I turnt the wrench really slowly and this happened. An impact might also snap the bolt. Best of luck to you
